The Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point VFC covers the three identified communities in lower Jefferson Parish. Their area is primarily rural residential as well as the fishing industry and boat yards. Lafitte has one neighboring fire company, Marrero/Estelle and the area is surrounded by water and Jean Lafitte National Park. |

The first engine of the Lafitte Fire Department is this 1950 International on display out front of the new station in downtown Lafitte along LA-45. Plans may be in the works to refurb the truck and getting it going for parades. |
