History:

Founded in 1976, O.K. Today, formerly Project Heavy West, has Provided uninterrupted preventive and intervention based case managed services to at-risk youth and their families in the West Los Angeles, California area.

Current:

Up to 2,000 youths and families were served by staff of 30 professional and administrative part-time and full-time personnel during the Fiscal Year 1999-2000

The geographic area served conforms to three (3) divisions of the West Bureau of the Los Angeles Police Department - Hollywood, Wilshire and Pacific Divisions.

A 1999 recipient of the New American Community Award presented by the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, O.K. Today is the Lead Agency of the Neighborhood Advocacy Council-Committee (NAC-C) serving the Los Angeles Oakwood/Venice and Mar Vista areas.
