Welcome to the web site of the Michigan AAU Youth Track & Field.

Our Mission

Provide the coaching, training and competitive atmosphere for the youth of Michigan to participate in track and field.

The Youth Track & Field--also known as Athletics--is one of 32 sports under the governing body of the Michigan AAU. We provide practice and competitive opportunities by hosting track & field meets at the local and state levels. Over 20 Track & Field Clubs are sanctioned by Michigan AAU. Michigan is one of 60 national AAU  Associations.

Young athletes within Michigan, by qualifying at the State Championship meet, can advance to Regional and then on to a National Championship.

In 2002 Michigan will host the Region 6 (Michigan, Indiana, Central, Kentucky, WV, Lake Erie, Ohio) meet at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan on July 11-14.

In 2003 Michigan will host the National Championships, also at at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan in August, 2003.
