Once I lived with this little old lady in Millersburg and she got to the point that she wasn't able to take care of me. So I was then given away to a family where there was two little boys and they would carry me around and play with me a lot when they were at home. School kept them pretty busy most of the day and in the evenings their parents were always going somewhere are for some reason they didn't get out a lot. Anyway when they did we sure had a great time. Running thru the mud puddles and playing in the rain. They sure did love me!
I was placed in a pen with another poodle (they said I was his cousin,I don't think so ! )This pinned up business I really didn't care for as I had never seen anything like it before. All day long with someone you don't know or care about knowing, pen up in a six by six area wasn't much fun to me. No place to have any privaticy and having to fight for my meals.It was worse than being in jail at least I would get a bite of something there LOL Anyway you can tell that I wasn't any to happy with my living arrangements.
One crisp winter day the sun was shinning and it felt so good on me laying out in that pen then all of a sudden I hear this van pull up and stop along side of the pen area. There were two ladies got out and came down to look at both my living companion and myself. They was talking about us and how we looked at the time. They couldn't see much of me as I tried to stay inside the place where we had to go when it rained or snowed. You see I was still afraid of what was going to happen to me . Seems as though I was being transfered a lot lately and all I really wanted was for someone to love me and let me love them back.I could tell from the conversation of these two ladies that I was the one they were really wanting to see. So I began to get very worried and a little upset by now.
A few days later I heard my name being called Reba come on Reba,( isn't that a silly name to give a poodle REBA ) So the female adult was calling me. She took me inside and gave me a bath and cleaned me all up . Told me I was going to a new home in town. I thought in town it would be the same in there for no animal gets to run free in town either. Away we go to town and I'm scared to death not knowing what is going to happen to me next . Was she taking me to the pound where all those other animals would be is she giving me to another family that would be even meaner to me OH GOD ! What is going to happen to me next. Once we got to town she stopped at this house and of course she had me in a carrier cage and it was so little I couldn't see out but once we got inside of the door I was let out and to my surprise there were the same two ladies who had visited on that warn day a few weeks before. The little lady didn't have much to say but let me tell you about the larger of the two .LOL She tried her best to get her hands on me and she seem friendly enough but since I had only just got there I kept my distance from her. So she talked with the adult lady who had brought me into town. and then that lady left me there by myself with these two ladies. I though well she will return soon But she never did come back and the big ladie who tried to get a hold of me gave me something to eat and I didn't have anyone there to take it away, it was all mine. So I liked that very much of course. Now my new master (the large lady) said she didn't care for the name I had so she gave me another name . She decided I looked more like a Sassy so that's my name. I'm now known as Sassy Gail or Sassy Baby mostly . I have to smile every time I hear that name called out as now living with Mom and Daddy I have a big back yard to run and play in and my own bed ,my own food dishes and no one to eat out of them but me. They have bought me lots of toys and a winter jacket and a sweater for when it is cold . I don't live outside I live in thier home where it is warm in the winter and cool in the summer . They have spoiled me so much that I can pick what I want for snacks and for dinner.When I speak one of them are always there to see what it is or what I need or want. I have more little boys in my neighborhood to play with me most every day and I also have a few animal friends that stop in occasionally to visit with me also I get to go see Connie my groomer about once a month and she keeps me looking my best with ribbons and stuff for my hair. My doctor says that my health is great and my weight is right where it should be for a minture poodle. All the girls at the bank give me treats when I go with my new mom banking and they always make over me there too. I have lots of family members who are always stopping by to visit that play with me I was only six months old when I came to live with Mom and Daddy and this year I will be three years old.. Here are a few of my close friends The two fellow are Pai and his twin brother Jai they are my heart. The problem is I can't dicide which one is going to get it. LOL Now ! Now ! You Guy's ! There will be no arguments around here. I LOVE YOU BOTH ! Rex ,Well he's pretty wise to what goes on out on the streets. So when he stops for a visit I hear all the going on's from everywhere. I call old Rex the mayor because he knows so much. Hi ! I'm Rex, Hey ! Both my parents love me so very much and I love them back just as much I have a wonderful life here and my mom says she will never let anyone take me away and I'm Daddy's baby ! So I thank you for listening to my story and I hope you have a nice home as well to live in and a mom and daddy to love you like I have got. Come Back and Visit me again sometimes...OK? . Sassy
