database and found THIS

Hubert Janis Indian [Parents] was
born in 1727. He married Marie Brasseaux
on 12 Oct 1772.

Marie Brasseaux [Parents] married
Hubert Janis Indian on 12 Oct 1772.

They had the following children: 

     M i Hubert Janis Indian
     F ii Marie Janis Indian 

It doesn't say ANYthing about her
marrying Charles Jeansonne...

Marie-Rose Brasseau was the one
that married Charles Jeansonne
(I've never found the actual
marriage record) but their children
were all baptized at St. Landry
Catholic Church, Opelousas, LA.

I show that she had a sister named
Marie who married Hubert Janis.
Our ancestors sure did believe in
naming their children Marie.

Diocese of Baton Rouge, Volume 1,
has some of the Acadian records
(St. Gabriel)
