History of the VIP Boat line... VIP is located in the small, northwest Louisiana town, Vivian, where marine dealer, Bill Parker, began manufacturing boats in 1968. Mr. Parker founded VIP because he couldn't find a boat on the market that he would recommend to the very important people he calls friends. VIP's mission from the very beginning was simply to "build a better boat." That's a promise we deliver everyday. After building tens of thousands of boats through several decades in the business, Bill Parker and his veteran VIP team turned their attention to the bay boats. If any type of boat desperately needed VIP level innovation and quality, it was the bay boat. Their team tested the best bay boats the industry offered and found repeated copies of the same outdated design. Other bay boats were wet running, rough riding, cookie cutter copies of a narrow beamed hull that had been around for decades. The VIP team of designers and engineers knew they could build a better boat by throwing these old ideas out of the window and starting with a clean sheet of paper. Through more than a year and a half of testing and perfecting, the VIP team created the first totally new bay boat design the industry ad seen in years Bay Stealth. New from the ground up.
