Cut away reverse applique for the diamonds. The square was applique with freezer paper on top.

Hand pieced the curved sections onto the center section. Paper pieced the corner sections then machine pieced them to the center.

Redraft by adding a square to the center because I wanted to put this William Morris fabric in there somewhere. Paper piecing and machine piecing.

Paper pieced the bottom half of the basket as one unit then paper pieced the top as one unit. Machine pieced these units together and appliqued the handle.

Paper pieced the interior square and adjoining white sections on one foundation. Paper pieced outer sections of red and white rectangles. Machine pieced units together. Appliqued tear drop shapes.
