E1 E-1 Aunt Exie's Phlox
Applique - freezer paper on top. Should have reduced the main image by 2% to avoid catching it in the seam allowance.
5 Pieces.

E2 E-2 Merry May
Paper pieced the outer "strips with squares". Appliqued the melon shapes. Fussy cut out of one printed fabric but it looks like two.

E3 E-3 Paddle Wheels
Hand and paper pieced.
20 Pieces.

E4 E-4 Buffalo Tree Hopper
Paper and hand pieced with a couple of easy set-in seams.
15 Pieces.

E5 E-5 Rising Sun
Paper pieced the rays in two sections by dividing the whole square in half. Appliqued the circle on top then cut out excess fabric.

E6 E-6 Michelle's Medley
Paper pieced middle in sections, then hand pieced. Appliqued squares.

E7 E-7 Bread Basket
Darks and lights done in reverse of Jane's. Just liked it better that way. Redrafted to add seams on interior of octagons. Hand and paper pieced.

Hand and paper pieced.

D9 E-9 Quilt Jail
Paper pieced the "broken" vertical sections then hand pieced the long "unbroken" vertical strips to the p.p. sections.

Paper pieced and hand applique.
6 Pieces.

D11 E-11 Wagon Wheel
Hand appliqued the inside "spokes" onto background fabric using freezer paper on top. Appliqed interior circle onto background then reverse appliqued semi-circles in corners.
3 Pieces.

D12 E-12 Mary Ruth's Corset
Paper and hand piecing. Used two similar colored fabrics.
28 Pieces.

D13 E-13 Moth in a Web
Redrafted to look like Jane's original block. Used two colored fabrics. Hand and paper pieced.
