I think Genie Francis makes everyone she has scenes with better!! She has mystical powers that make me watch :)

From Frappy:
I have been a Genie Francis Fan since the summer of 1980. I was home nursing a broken leg and got hooked like thousands of others that summer. I have followed her career over the years---North and South, Murder She Wrote, Bare Essence, whenever Genie was on TV I watched. She is an amazing actress with great depth. Her beauty transcends time. When she smiles she lights up the screen. We miss her, we really do :(

From Kelly:
I've watched Genie Francis' from almost the beginning and enjoyed her interpretation of Laura - she has that quality that very few actress's have...where you can't take your eyes off of her when she's on screen. Whether it's Laura happy, angry, ecstatic, joyful, sad...whatever the scene calls for, Genie always made me feel whatever Laura was feeling. I miss her.

From LukeNeedsLaura:
Genie just has that special quality about her. I know fans always mention her smile, but for me it's in her eyes. She can show so much emotion with just a look. Genie is a fabulous actress. General Hospital is missing a great talent- her loss sticks out like a sore thumb. Tony Geary needs his "acting soulmate" back, sooner rather than later. The return of Laura would certainly be a story I would tune in to watch. I have just three words....COME BACK LAURA!!!!!!

From Rachel:
I've always loved Genie's portrayal of Laura - there is always something watchable about whatever scenes she's in. Genie Francis is so wonderful at both comedy and drama that it's a shame that the show has not given her the kind of material she's deserved over the last few years. But even with bad scripts, Genie always managed to make the scene interesting to watch.

From Susan:
Genie's portrayal of Laura over the span of two decades is a peformance that I consider equal to that of other great screen actresses such as Vivien Leigh's Scarlett O'Hara or Audrey Hepburn's Holly Golightly. Genie is Laura. She will always be in my heart and my thoughts. I hope she knows how much her fans truly miss her. Come back Genie!

From Sue C.:
Genie brought her warmth, sensitivity, artistry and incredible acting range to the character of Laura. Without her, the show has lost its heart and soul. Both Tony Geary and Luke Spencer seem totally lost without her; he needs his acting partner to counter Luke's rough edges, to bring taste and grace to his scenes.

From Charlotte:
What makes Genie Francis so special? There are so many things. She has taken the character of Laura through more than two decades and evolved her, given her spirit and grace and has turned Laura into one of the most memorable characters on daytime. I remember reading a quote by Tony Geary where he says, "She makes me better.". I think that is so true. Genie's scenes with him really brought something special to his acting. I hope she returns so that we can see some more of these great performances from them both.

From Erin:
When someone mentions General Hospital, my mind always drifts to Genie. If you were to tell me that I could possibly take away all of the pain I've felt since September 6, 2002 by simply not remembering Genie as Laura, I would tell you that you're absolutely nuts. She gave me so much that she doesn't even know, and I in turn can only give her this blurb on how much I've loved her, and her as Laura. Laura Spencer was more than just a character, and Genie is much more than a simple Daytime actor. No, Tony Geary's leading lady is one helluva performer, and they don't give her credit where credit is due. She's is Laura. Her personality, her smile, the way that she looks at her on-screen family says more to me than anyone ever could. I wish upon a thousand other wishes for Genie to return, and breathe life into Laura again.
