"First organized in 1972 for the 1973 Tournament of Roses Parade, the All-District Honor Band is limited to brass and percussion instruments to achieve maximum sound projection and excitement. Special musical arrangements are used that relate to the Parade theme and to excite the audience. The All-District Honor Band represents students from 49 district high schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The Los Angeles Unified School District and is very proud of its history of performing at Super Bowls, World Series, Disneyland, Coca Cola and other major events around the world." - BTB site
