    Saiyan

    To be a saiyan you must have black hair,have a tail,and most important,Love to fight.As you most probable know,Trunks has puple hair.The reson is that he is not a pure saiyan and that means that either the half saiyans mother or father is not a saiyan allowing the father or mother to have hair that is not black. In Trunks` case his mother is bulma, she is the parent that is not a saiyan and her hair is blue,that explains why Trunks has purple hair.

    Super Saiyan

    S.S. is triggered by a unbelivible amont of anger.it is very hard to become S.S.To transform into S.S. the saiyan`s hair must turn blond and it must become very spiky. His eyes must turn green and his power increases a great amount.Also his personality will change a great deal,he will become very strict

    Super Saiyan Stage 2

    It is easy for a saiyan to become S.S.J.2. The saiyans hair gets longer and he becoms alot stronger than he was in S.S.J.1.He also becomes alot strikter.

    ultra Super Saiyan

    This is the stage that trunks and vegeta acended to in the hyperbolic time chamber,it is like super saiyan but looks alot stronger,and it is,but it has a weakness that make ultra s.s. unusefull. It lacks the ability to move around fast.As Goku put it "what good is all this power if you can`t catch your enemy."

    Super Saiyan Stage 3

    It is extremely hard for a saiyan to become S.S.J.3. The saiyans hair grows down to his nee`s and it stays spiky.His power level increases an incredible amount,but he can not hold this power for very long because of his hair.His hair is very hevey so the saiyan becomes worn out very quickly.

    Super Saiyan Stage 4

    The ultiment form of a saiyan is S.S.J.4.he grows red fur all over his body that looks like a red shirt,and all around his eyes get red.His power level excedes your imagination.Goku Vegeta and Gohan are the only Saiyans ever to reach Super Saiyan Stage 4,But Vegeta does this by using a brute ray that Bulma made,so he didn`t really reach S.S.J.4.
