Kyp was born on the Deyer Colony of the Anoat System. Kyp's parents had been outspoken politicians, who tried to make Emperor Palpatine realize the need for moderate actions instead of drastic ones he employed against the rebels and their sympathizers. They protested when the Death Star destroyed Alderaan.
When Kpy was eight years old, stromtroopers crashed into the Durron home. They took him and his parents to the Imperial Correctional Facility on Kessel. His brother Zeth to the Imperial Academy on Caridia for military service training.
On Kessel Kyp and his parents became slaves to mine glitterstim spice, a power drug sold for high amounts in a unrefined form. When Moruth Doole took over the mining factilities on Kessel, Kyp's parent were executed.
After several years, an old woman named Vima-Da-Boda was sent to the mining factility. She was once a Jedi Knight and she was drawn to Kyp Durron. She sensed that he was extremely strong in the Force and she trained him to use lesser Force skills. One day, the Imperials came and took her away. Kyp never saw her again.
When Kyp was eighteen, a man named Han Solo and a Wookiee named Chaewbacca were sent in the Spice mines to mine in the deepest mines until their deaths. Kyp and Solo became friends. Han discovered that Kyp had great use in the Force, which help them and Chewie escape not only the mining factility and escaped from Daala's force. They stole the Empire's newest weapon the Sun Crusher to escape.
On the rebel base on Coruscant, Luke Skywalker tested Kyp's power. He discover Kyp had the strongest Force presence he had known since his Masters. Luke invited Kyp to join the Jedi Academy on Yavin Four.
During his training a spirt of the Sith, Exar Kun, told Kyp that he help Kyp get revence on the Empire. Kyp secretlt trained with Kun. As he trained with Kun and Skywalker, Kyp became annoyed with Skywalker's peaceful, patient ways. When Mara Jade came, she told Luke and his students about what was Daala doing. Kyp stole her ship and when to the forest moon of Endor.
After visiting Vader funeral pyre, he went to Qwi Xux's quarters and waited for her. When she came he pulled the plans of the Sun Crusher and some of her memories with the use the Force.
He returned to Yavin Four at night. As dawn broke he and Exar Kun pulled the Sun Crusher from the core of the gas planet of Yavin. When Skywalker confronted his student, Kyp and the spirt of Exar Kun strike him with dark-side lightning and withdrew Luke's spirt from his body.
Kyp left the moon in the Sun Crusher. In the Cauldron Nebula, Kyp found Daala's fleet. As they plan to lead an attack on Coruscant, Kyp lanched the sun destroying torpedoes in the heart of the nebula. Daala manged to escape but one of her Star Destroyers caught the blast full on and destroyed it. Kyp took off for Caridia.
He got to the planet which was the next target. Kyp hoped to find out the whereabouts of his brother, Zeth. The Imperial Ambassor planed to take over the Sun Crusher by distracting Kyp with the fake new of Zeth death. Kyp fought off the TIE fighters that attacked and launch a torpedo in the sun.
The Imperials found his brother--Alive--and would have him for Kyp soon. Kyp flew the Sun Crush to the Academy, to meet his brother and Lieutenant Dauron on a roof. Dauron battered Zeth as Kyp moved in. Zeth killed the Imperial. As Kyp tried to save his brother by getting him in the ship, sun exploded. Zeth was killed with the rest of the Imperial that did not get away in time.
Han Solo tried to get Kyp to back down. Kyp planned lanch a torpedo at the Falcon. Lando manged to override the Sun Crusher and shut it down. With his mind, Kyp reactivited the Sun Crusher. The spirt of Exar Kun was telling him to avenge himself at any cost. Then the spirt screamed and disappered. Kyp surrendered to Han.
Luke gave Kyp a second chance. Kyp became a Knight with his friend Dorsk 81.
They both went to Dorsk 81's home planet. They discovered a plan by Daala to attack the Jedi Academy. They mange to get back to warn the Academy. The students there projected the Temple. Dorsk 81 was killed.
Kyp Durron became one of the greatest of the New Order of Jedi Knights.
