David: King of Spades

"Shoot Me's" Spade EP's Film David Spade ("Saturday Night Live"), who plays the funny and sarcastic Dennis Finch on NBC's "Just Shoot Me," will executive produce his first film, the indie flick "Jerome," the story of a welder who leaves his job, family, and friends in search of a better life, and picks up a hitchhiker along the way. Phaedra Cinema has picked up the domestic rights for the film written, directed, and produced by Thomas Johnson, David Elton, and Eric Tignini.

NBC ordered 13 episodes of Spade's animated series, "Sammy" for midseason. The series is loosely based on David's life. It's about a man who abandons his family, and then shows up again when his son becomes famous.
