VH-31 Behind the Music: LFO

Emerging from Lou Pearlman's Trans Continental Entertainment, LFO’s Rich, Brad and Devin took teenage girls and malls by storm with their 1999 hit, “Summer Girls.” A little over a year later, LFO has disappeared.....and we’ve got the story.

“The song ‘Summer Girls’ was like totally my idea,” says Brad, “One day we were walking in the mall and I said ‘Hey Rich, they got an Abercrombie & Fitch in dis mug’. And that’s when the creative juices started flowin’, you know what I’m saying?”

"It didn't happen overnight," says Rich. "We worked hard for at least three months."

But while their success didn’t happen overnight, LFO’s disappearance did. Three consecutive setbacks one night put LFO on the shelf, possibly for good. One night while on tour with the Backstreet Boys, Brad was preparing for the show and discovered something ungodly when he glanced into the mirror.

“I had a pimple,” remembers Brad, “I used that Clearisil shit and everything. How am I supposed to go on stage and then get laid looking like that?”

The second mishap occured when Devin cracked two teeth while biting down on a gobstopper. “I just thought they were big skittles or something,” recalls Devin.

But the final and most-horrifying event occured in Rich’s dressing room a mere 30 minutes before showtime. Rich remembers it vividly....

“I was watching a movie, just like I always do before a show,” said Rich, “And that night I was watching ‘Something About Mary’. Well they have that part where the guy gets his junk stuck in his zipper, you know? I wanted to see if that could really happen. Well.....it can.”

Rich was rushed to the local emergency room for immediate fillet penial corrective surgery, but his penis would never be the same and neither would LFO. We may never see those three young men again, but one thing is for sure: Abercrombie & Fitch was sure glad someone say them.

“Behind the Music: LFO” is coming soon to VH-31. Contact your local cable operators.
