Submission Guidelines:
- Article must be about or related to Teena Marie's music, career, life, etc. (This includes CD reviews, concert reviews, career commentary, your account of meeting Teena, personal thoughts of Teena, how Teena's music changed your life, etc. . ..)
- Submissions will not be changed for editorial content, but they may be edited for grammar, style, spelling, and cohesiveness.
- Include your name with your article. If you don't want your name published with the article, indicate a separate nickname that will identify you, like "'A Teena Fan in Louisiana" or something like that. But regardless of whether you want your article published anonymously or not, you must include your full name in the e-mail to me.
- Your article can be either subjective or objective. It doesn't have to be written in any journalistic style. It can just be your thoughts on Teena, if you wish.
- If your article is objective, your facts must be correct or else I won't be able to publish your article. I will not edit any articles for content.
- I reserve the right to refuse to publish any article for any reason. The only time that a problem like that would probably arise is if your article attempts defamation of character of Teena Marie or any person.
- I believe in freedom of speech, on the Internet and beyond. If you need to use profanity, suggestive situations, or anything like that (for whatever reason) to express yourself, go ahead. But please keep this to a minimum, if at all possible. I know that there are many young Teena fans out there too (under age 18--hey, I was one at one time! ;-D). I may place a "suggestive language warning" at the top of any articles like this.
- In the extremely unlikely event that I choose not to publish your article, I will contact you.
- Once you submit your article, it may take one to two (three depending on how busy I am at the moment) weeks for me to publish your article on the site. So, please no e-mails asking when your article will be put up. It will eventually make its way up.
