Wild-Fire #11

Hello guys and gals! I am just so on fire right now, God is moving in me as I watch the 700 Club. Don’t laugh at the fact that I am watching an old people show. There are these people on talking about changing your hearts and changing generations back towards God. I was going to type this Saturday morning, but God is really speaking to me so I will do it tonight. I feel this burning in my heart that people today, right now, need to totally reevaluate their lives as Christians. We have just been Christians for so long, and I feel its time that we become more than that. Its time for us to forget about everything on this earth except Jesus! Why do we care about new cars and money and sports and ANYTHING when God is so near? The things that are going on are far more than a few buildings being destroyed and a war against terrorism! I would challenge all of you to read the books of Revelations and Daniel, and look at the things that will be happen in the next few months, years, and even days. God is coming and He is coming quickly! He is not coming for a Church that is stuck in religion and petty sins. He is coming for a Bride without spot or wrinkle! On Sunday’s many people go to church and play like they are living for God; however, they go home and live in sin. This has to stop! Going to church and begging God to give us things and to heal our headaches needs to turn into giving ourselves to spiritual warfare. While we are asking God to bless us people all across this country are dying and going to HELL!! How can we stand by and watch that? We need to forget about what we want from God and totally turn to what God wants from us. I know many many teens who play around with God, Ladies and Gentlemen those days are over!! If God is God then let us sever Him and if He is not then let us forget Him! If you know that God is God then it is time to focus you whole life on Him and only Him. This may be crazy to say, but I’ll say it because its true. They can take my money, car, education, friends, family, freedom, and even my life, but they cannot take Jesus away from me and He is ALL I need. Jesus is the only answer and the only way to make sense of this world. If you do not know Him, I plead with you to give Him a chance because I know He will heal your life and set you free. I have always been a little on the shy side when it came to talking to non Christians face to face because I didn’t want to be made fun of. However, tonight as I read a yahoo news article on Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson I realized that things in this country have changed, and like Jesus says in the book of John they will hate us! There is nothing I can do about the fact that people will not like the stand I make, but God will love it and my return will come in the end. Remember from this night forward that the end is really just the start. Ask yourself this: a million years from now, will you care what some people on this earth had to say about you? I don’t think it will matter to me! The only thing that really matters is what God will have to say about you when you stand before Him. I am about to end this, and when I do, I am going to put on some music and spend time in prayer. I would challenge all of you after you read this to ask God RIGHT NOW to help you focus on Him and nothing else. Also, ask Him to spark a fire in you that will burn throughout this entire nation and be a light in this dark dark world. Its time to stop playing around people. No one else will stand up for this spiritually weak nation, we need to do it and we need to do it NOW!!! Jordan

Hello again! Today we will be reading from the 7th chapter of the book of John verses 1 to 10. This is the story of Jesus healing the centurion’s servant. First off, a centurion was a local military commander in the days of Christ. He would have been very wealthy and powerful in his area of rule. This centurion was very different from most of his time because in verse 5 you see that he loved the Jews and he had built them a synagogue. Moreover, he actually cared about the health of one of his servants. Well this servant of his became sick and when the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews to go and ask Jesus to come. So Jesus begins on His way to the centurion’s house, but when Jesus is almost there the centurion sent out some of his friends to meet Jesus. They told Jesus that the centurion said he was not worthy of having Jesus enter his home and that he didn’t want to trouble Jesus with the rest of the trip. They then told Jesus that all the centurion asked was that He speak the word, for he knew that at Jesus’ command the servant would be healed. The centurion was a man of power and he knew that when he told his men to do something that they did it. Whether he was there are not, his soldiers and servants followed his command. The centurion also knew that Jesus was in command of powers far greater than the Roman army, and all Jesus needed to do was to command the healing and it would take place no matter where Jesus was. So Jesus healed the servant and in verse 9 Jesus said He had not seen such great faith even in Israel. Now, what is all of this saying? Well I think we need to try to understand the power that God has over this earth and everything on it. If God wanted to put a tree right in the middle of your bedroom all He would have to do is speak it and boom there is the tree. God could destroy this whole earth with one word from His mouth. With all of this said, we still worry about the problems we face in our lives. If you serve God and give Him your life there is nothing satan can bring against you that God is not in control of. If you look at Psalm 115:3 it sums up what God can do. It states “But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased.” God does whatever He wants no matter what anyone or anything has to say about it. If God is so powerful, why not put your total trust in Him? There is no reason why we should worry about our life if it is in God’s hands. Just trust in Him no matter what comes against you, and in all things give thanks. God bless you and please come back to Wild-Fire. Jordan

Hello everyone. Today I want to talk to you for a few minutes about how God puts us through tests to see if we will continue to serve Him. There are many stories in the Bible about God testing His servants, and I have chosen to look at the story of Joseph’s life. Genesis chapter 37 to chapter 50 tells a every long story about many different parts of Joseph’s life. I will spare you the story, and you can read it for yourself if you don’t already know it. Joseph had some dreams as a young man and God showed him some things that he didn’t fully understand. The dreams were about the future and what God was calling him to do. Joseph had a great future ahead of him in God, but God was not going to just give that position to Joseph without a test. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and they told his father Jacob that Joseph had been killed. So now Joseph is a slave and in his slavery he continued to hold onto God. While he was a slave he was put in prison for something he didn’t do. Most people would think that that is a good reason to give up on God, but Joseph stood strong. In the end, Joseph was the second most powerful man in Egypt, and God had fulfilled the visions of Joseph’s youth. God will not just give a new Christian all the blessings He has planned for that person’s life in one day. If God took a new Christian and put him somewhere as a pastor and that person failed then that gift would have been somewhat wasted. If you know you have a great calling on your life, then you should also know that trials are coming to see if you will be faithful to God. My old youth leader told us one Sunday that God has a gift box for everyone. Some boxes are larger and have more gifts, and some are smaller and have less gifts. The larger boxes are great and the gifts in them are great, but the price tag on them is great also. The price on the smaller boxes is less, but the gifts are less also. If you want a ministry then you need to totally willing to pay a price for that ministry. You will need to prove to God that you will trust in Him no matter what. Then and only then will He trust you with what He has for you. Trials will continue to come even through your ministry, but every trial you make it through will make your ministry stronger. The thing to remember is not to try and fight your battles, but to give them to God. Because all He wants is for you to give into Him totally. Also, the sorrow may last for the night, but joy comes with the morning! The reward that will follow the trial will be so much great than the trial that it will all be worth it. Thank you for reading today…..Jordan

Hello everyone, and thanks for coming. Today we will be reading from the book of Acts chapter 4 verses 10 – 12. The verses say “(10) Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand before you whole. (11) This is THE STONE WHICH WAS SET AT NAUGHT OF YOU BUILDERS, WHICH IS BECOME THE HEAD OF THE CORNER. (12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” So, what do we have here? Well I think it is certain that Peter wants us to know that Jesus is the only way to be saved. In the 10th verse he is saying how the reason he was made whole was because of Jesus’ being raised from the dead. When Jesus gave His life He paid the price for everyone’s sin, and when Peter asked the Lord to forgive him of sin the blood of Jesus made him whole. In the Old Testament the Spirit of the Lord didn’t live in the hearts of men, so even if they followed God there was an empty part in there life. Well when Jesus sacrificed Himself, He sent His Spirit to comfort us and that Spirit fills the gap in our lives and makes us whole. The 11th verse is in reference to a verse in Isaiah 28:16. Jesus was said to be the corner stone and foundation of what God was going to do. Well Peter is telling the rulers, elders, and scribes he had gathered there that when they rejected Jesus that they were rejecting what God was going to build up. The stone they rejected was the precious corner stone that God was going to use to build His church. A corner stone was the first thing they laid down when building, and everything else was measured outward from that stone. In verse 12, Peter is very simple in what he says. Jesus is the ONLY way anyone will every be saved. Many people today say that all religions have the goals, just different paths to reach that goal. That people who follow other gods will go to heaven with Christians. Well if you believe the Bible then you must believe that that is not true. People who follow false prophets and false gods are wrong and they are not going to end up in heaven. There are only two choices, God or satan, and whatever one you choose will decide where you spend eternity. Choose God and go to heaven, choose satan and go to hell its that easy. There is another point to this for Christians, I believe. A few miles from my house there is a shrine to Jesus, it is about 3 feet tall and He is on the cross. The statue is all white and there is nothing great about it. However, right across the street from there there is a statue of Mary, and it is about 7 feet tall and she is wearing this wonderful outfit with jewels and the whole thing is in a glass case. Now who are the people who put that up worshipping? We need to watch out about praying to people other than Jesus because He is the only one who can help us. Saints and Mary and anyone else besides Jesus can do nothing for us. Its like the people who look to the stars for answers. Why look to the stars when you can look to the person who made the stars? Why look to Mary when you can look to the person who saved Mary. We need to realize that Jesus is IT! Him and nothing more! He is no long the dying man on a cross with blood leaking from His body! He is the Chosen One, He is high and lifted up, and I know all I want is to see Him in His Glory and Majesty. Lets just be careful about who we look to in our time of need because the Bible says that Jesus is the ONLY way. Thank you. Jordan

Wild-Fire #15

Hello everyone. Today I am just going to speak to you all from my heart. I don’t really have any scriptures to share, but I do have something to say. In the past two weeks, three people I went to high school with have been killed. One guy in a car accident, one girl in a car accident, and another guy was shot. I was not close to any of them, but I did know them all and I am close to someone in all of their families. Over ten people that I went to school with just two years ago are dead today. One of them was a good friend that killed himself our Junior year. I was in church and trying to live for God, but I never shared the Gospel with my friends. Some of you may not have had to live through the death of a friend, but I have more than once. Knowing that you could have shared the Gospel with a person who died in sin is a hard thing to deal with. That’s why I’m saying this today because I don’t want any of you to have the regret that I did. You need to witness every time God opens a door for you, and don’t be ashamed to tell your friends about God. I know one day I will stand before God and He will ask me why I didn’t witness to some of the people He asked me to. I will have no excuse, but the fact that I failed. Your friends may not want to hear about God, but it is your responsibility to be a witness to them. Once you have told them about God you can wash your hands of their blood, but don’t let your friends live blind to the things of the Lord. Satan is attacking this generation with everything he has, and he has already killed hundreds of thousands of people our age. If you look at all the abortions, drive-bye’s, and suicides of the past 15-20 years, you will see a generation of young people that are already dead. They were never given a chance to grow old, or have children, or even live a single day. People all over the world are talking about a Holy War in the days to come. Well I want to call all of you today to fight in a Holy War! A war against satan and all things that would drag young people away from God. A war of prayer and seeking after God for a world full of people that could become spiritual giants for God. I turned my eyes from the pain of a friend, and he killed himself. Don’t ever make that mistake! Reach out to your friends and in their time of need show them the answer that you have found. Finally, please look beyond yourself to the needs of the people around you. Because when you reach out to serve the needs of other people, God will reach out and touch you. Thank you all. Jordan
