THE MUSEUM HAS AN ENTIRE SECTION DEVOTED TO THE HIGGINS BOATS INCLUDING ACTUAL BLUEPRINTS,MODELS,STORIES ETC. THE REAL BOAT IS DOWN ON THE MAIN FLOOR(see 1st D-DAY page)

FROM THE NEW "PACIFIC WING"

THIS HELMET BELONGS TO A MARINE THAT CHARGED A JAPANESE MACHINE GUN POSITION, AND TOOK A SAMURI BLADE TO THE HEAD....HE SURVIVED, KILLED THE ENEMY AND RECIEVED THE NAVY CROSS...
