The Proud Heritage Banquet was held on March 8, 1997 at the Dolly Hand Cultural
Arts Center in Belle Glade, Florida. More than 225 people were in attendance, representing
8 of the 9 National Pan-Hellinic Council Organizations and other distinguished members of the community. The purpose of the banquet was to honor African-
American principals (past and present). Those principals being honored were:
