That doesn't say much for unifying heart, body, soul, mind, and spirit.
"Love, honor, till death you do part," loses it's righteousness.
Breaking down, just to build again; unbonding, just to bond again; making choices with irrepairable consequences.
Definitely, there is not much of a difference between love and ....not love.
Maybe, we just love when it is convenient and fulfilling to our needs.
Trying each time we find someone born into the world just for us not to compare them with all the others born for the same reason.
Searching, admittingly to defy the lonliness.
The next time, a little more compromising, a little more sacrificing.
Accustomed to the pain and disappointment, remnants of an unfortunate mistake.
Persisting to believe there is the perfect one waiting out there somewhere.
At last, a little older, a little wiser, the importance of trivia diminishes.
Bells and whistles do not ring quite so loudly.
Cold feet are cold because they are just cold.
Love and honor turn to respect.
We find satisfaction in concession.
Sacrifice becomes atonement for our failures.
Weary from defeat, our frustration grants us tolerance.
We say, "I do," we hope for one last time.
Still, for all the misery and grieving sleepless nights, I still believe in bells and whistles.
