Chapter Four
~Sorry this chapter is so short!~
"No...sorry Mr. Dennison, Shyla isn't here. I havn't seen her for the past two days...no...yes I'm sure...okay, let me know if you find out where she is...okay...bye," Taylor said, and hung up the phone. He smiled at Shyla. "He doesn't suspect anything," he told her, and held her fondly.
"Thank-you so much. I owe you my life, Taylor. Anything you want, if I can give it to you, it's yours."
"Well," Taylor said, sitting down at his kitchen table, "What I want, I can't have." His eyes seemed to look everywhere except at Shyla. He twirled a flower, which was set in a delicate glass vase, taking deep interest in it.
"Well..." Shyla began. "What do you want?"
"You," he whispered softly, his face getting gradually red.
Shyla was stunned. He wanted...her. "Why?" she asked. "Why do you want me, Taylor? We've know eachother for four years, but we still don't know eachother..." Shyla took a deep breath. "You don't know how much I want this to happen, Taylor...but..."
"Then why won't you let it happen, Shyla?"
"Because, Taylor..." Shyla's lips began to quiver. "I'm so afraid I'll lose you, and I don't know what I'd do if that happened. I need you Taylor, but I don't want to lose you...I need you as a friend the most."
Taylor nodded up, and walked towards the door, opened it, but spun around so he was facing Shyla. "Do you want to know why I want you? Huh? Because you're the most extraordinary, talented person that I've ever
met. And I'm your biggest fan."
Shyla smiled, her heart racing a mile a minute, and walked over to Taylor, softly kissing his cheek. "I'm glad I don't know anything about you," Shyla replied, "Because every
day, you amaze me." She looked deep into his eyes, searching them.
Shyla stood on her tip-toes, and kissed him delicately, smoothly; passionatly, intimately. Her hands trembled and her heart raced. It was so amazing, austounding, wondrous; pure enchantment. She drew away slowly, and smiled at Taylor. He pulled her into his embrace, and hugged her close to his chest. "This is going to be so simple, Shyla," he murmered into her hair.
Shyla smiled happily. She was finally where she wanted to be.
