Summary of Eagle Scout Candidate Expectations
This Troop 33 Eagle Scout Expectations Summary is intended to assist Eagle Candidates by letting them know what is expected of Eagle Candidates before attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
Life Scouts should follow these guidelines for reaching the rank of Eagle Scout.
EAGLE CANDIDATE -- Expectations
- 1. During the 6 months prior to submitting an Eagle Application, the Eagle Candidate must show active participation with scheduled troop activities.
- 2. During the 6 months prior to submitting an Eagle Application, the Eagle Candidate must demonstrate good leadership in some capacity within the troop.
- 3. During the 6 months prior to submitting an Eagle Application, the Eagle Candidate must have shown good moral character and demonstrated qualities of the Scout Law and the Scout Oath.
- 4.Eagle Cand idate must have the Scoutmaster sign his approval before being referred for an Eagle Board of Review (cannot go before an Eagle Board of Review without Scoutmaster’s approval).
- 5. EAGLE PROJECT: As a Life Scout, an appropriate Eagle Project must be completed showing good leadership by the Eagle Candidate. Project must be approved by the following people (signatures) prior to beginning the project: 1. Scoutmaster, 2. Troop Committee Chairman, 3. Beneficiary group, and 4. The Council Advancement Chairman. Upon completion of the project, the Eagle Candidate must have approval (signatures) of the following people: 1. Beneficiary Group and 2. Scoutmaster. The Eagle Project must show proper leadership by the Eagle Candidate. The project must give Troop 33 scouts and leaders an opportunity to assist with carrying out the project.
- 6. All Eagle Scout Candidates must pass an Eagle Board of Review before receiving the Rank of Eagle Scout.
