Episode 411: The gang successfully hike to the top of a cloud drenched volcano, shimmy down a life-rope into the active center, and then spend the night INSIDE the volcano! Their next clue sends them to Genada to host a love-chat radio program. Back on board the Lady Jane, Kalle and Vince have a heart-to-heart. Vince asks Kalle if she thinks she'll stay with Jake after the show. Kalle confesses that she is unsure. Vince continues, "if you had met Jake in New York and not on this trip, would you have gotten together?" Kalle quickly responds, "no, I wouldn't have liked him at all!" Well, so much for advising the lovelorn! The kids can barely advise themselves. On Grenada the show is a huge flop, but everyone brightens up when Jake's dad calls and tells Jake to come home to Philly. Aaah... back in the U.S.A.
Episode 412: In Philly the gang meet Jake's parents (Kalle, meet ma and pa) and enjoy Jake's guided tour. Then it's off to NYC by train, to audition Knicks Dancers (are those called Knickettes?). Erika almost makes the cut, but even after putting in her all, ends up watching the basketball game from the bleachers. What a bummer. During the game, our heroes discover a clue as it is broadcast over the enormous digital score board: love in the afternoon... hmmm
Behind the Scenes 412: In the train station in Philadelphia, our Road Rulers had some time to kill. They hung out and listened to music, read, and in the case of Jake and Kalle, had a tickle-fight. When Kalle playfully bit Jake's hand, he leapt off her and stormed away, oblivious to Kalle's apologies. Jake returned a moment later, all smiles, and offered his hand up to show Kalle her little bite marks. As Kalle leaned in for a closer look, Jake suddenly slapped her on the mouth! Geeze, that's vicious. Play nice, Jake!
Episode 413: Our heroes auditioned for All My Children and Oscar even got a speaking part!! Kalle and Jake ran all over The Big Apple doing errands for Kelly and Mark, lovers on the show and real-life husband and wife team. Kelly's last request, a hot dog from the stand on the corner of 66th and Columbus, turned out to be a severed human foot bearing a grisly clue to the Road Rulers last and final mission.
Behind the Scenes 413: The evening after the Knicks game, Jake and Kalle decided to go to the movies. On the way Jake realized he had to use the potty. They crossed the street and slipped into a swank hotel so Jake could use the facilities. In less than a minute, Jake returned to the lobby and whispered to Kalle, "a woman was checking out at the front desk and I slipped her room key into my pocket - want to check it out?" The sixteenth floor room offered a fabulous view of the city skyline, a gorgeous king-sized bed, a huge TV with cable, and look - the woman had even left some of her food on the tray from room service! Jake and Kalle kicked off their shoes, climbed into bed, pulled the covers up to their chins, and began to kiss passionately.
Episode 414: The last mission is a doozy: walk over hot coals... barefoot!! After a short training session the kids make their painful jog with ease! At the end of the fire walk the crew is given a last night together in luxurious Trump Tower. After a feast they find out about their handsome reward: a semester at sea! Erika begins to cry... she just wants to go home. The next day, some dry eyed and some teary eyed, the Road Rules Islands cast part ways to pursue their futures... a little wiser and a little older, and with a bundle of Island Memories.
