While nothing is really known in great detail what Remy did after he left New Orleans, it is known that eventually he caught up with a de-aged Storm in Cairo, Egypt, where she was on the run from the Shadow King. Like Remy, she was also a theif, and like had been done for him so many years earlier by Jean-Luc LeBeau, he took a liking to Storm, and decided to be her gaurdian, even though his own purpose for being there was to steal some valuables. After some time, and several instances of protecting her, he came to love her as a sister, and trust her the same, even after she returned to her normal age.
Returning with Storm to the X-Mansion, he un-officially joined the team, calling himself an X-Man "by default not desire."
