+++ X-Man no more +++

Remy after the X-Men

After leaving him in Seattle, things never were quite the same between Remy and Rogue. To say they had a falling out would be the understatement of the year. His love having left the team, as well as him, Remy stayed with the X-Men, even though he didn't seem to be into it wholeheartedly. When Rogue finally returned, a supposedly amnesiac Magneto (now called "Joseph) in tow, the whole issue was only drudged up again. Carrying on as best as they could for the time being, Remy watched helplessly as Rogue showed affaection to "Joseph." A mixture of envy and jealousy, things didn't heat up until Remy, Rogue, Beast, Joseph, and Bishop were all sent to the Shi'ar empire to battle the Phalanx.

Once there, Rogue and Gambit were both captured and Rogue, nearly defeated, admitted to loving and always having loved Remy. Using her as a distraction, Remy escaped and saved Rogue, and then they departed back for earth. Once there however, all of them were captured by Magneto's Nanny robot and brought to his Antarctic citadel. Alone at first, and their powers subdued by Nanny, Rogue and Remy were able to physically express their love for the first time. (Exactly what they did will be left up to your imagination) All good things must come to an end however, and when Eric the Red showed up (a disuised Magneto?) accusing Remy of being responsible for the Morlock Massacre, the proverbial $hit hit the fan. Not being able to deny his involvement (which was apparently assembling the Marauders, who did the actual killing) he was put on trial, and found guilty. To prove this however, Rogue was forced to kiss him in an effort to gain his knowledge of the matter. An extra side effect --- the gaining of Remy's powers, which she used to set them all free. Upon leaving the citadel though, Rogue renounced her love, and once again left Remy alone, accompanied only by his fears. Stranded alone in the antarctic, Remy's tenure as an X-Man officially came to a close. For the time being...
