I thought the topic of my page would be about "ROMANCE"
and is it still alive and doing well in the 90's. Well it sure seems to be thriving
over the net..alot of connections are being made in chat places,but is any of it
really have any truth or honesty to it,or is it just a very huge playground of fantasy,
and fun and flirting? Where one can be who they would like to be in thier real lives?And yet there are some couples who are happily married,who met over
the screens of thier computers,nothing wrong with finding your soulmate in this
manner,if they are both single consenting adults.
Do you ever wonder where your first love is? And what they are doing? Most people lose track of that very first special love,that also caused them such a broken heart,it took weeks to mend.You never thought there would be another. I remember mine,his name was Gary and I was 15 and he was 17,and we took the world by storm in our whirlwind of puppy love.We had many great romantic plans for our future,which lasted all of 16 months.It took along time to be able to look back and think of him without the deep pain,but now I know it had to be that way, in order to learn to love someone strong enough to want to grow old and grey with them, I think that is a romantic future to have, and look forward to watching our grandchildren grow up,that is what love is all about.
I am married to a wonderful man,could not ask for a better husband or father but a romantic in the sense of bringing me flowers, NOT!! He shows me he loves me in many different ways,but i never expect choclates or jewellery or a bath filled with rose petals...it's just not his style.But if I need a backrub or a night out,or if I see something in a store window that lights up my eyes,he will make sure I have it,and he makes me laugh which I find romantic , and he makes me feel good about myself.And he sweeps me off my feet on the dance floor and off.I still look so forward to him getting home from work,and the fact that he still calls me everyday from work.He is my rock when I need one,and my very best friend and my very favourite person to spend time with.
