LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO!

The shortest verse in the Bible states that "JESUS WEPT"
John 11:35

In the story of Lazarus, Jesus shows his passion. He shows us his heart.
No one can read this story without understanding what Christ is all about.
In his love for Lazarus and in his tears, Jesus shows us one aspect of the face of God that we need to see if we are going to understand our Savior and Lord. This is the same face that often looks out over the world and sees all its destruction, damage, pain, and suffering and is moved to tears again and again out of compassion for God's hurting children in his hurting creation. He looks at our world and calls it to repentance and peace.

As Christ was being led to Calvary He passed women on the road who were weeping for Him. He told them in Luke 23:28 "Daughters of Jersualem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children."

FAVORITE SCRIPTURES

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord; Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 4:16-18

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear because fear has torment.
1 John 4:18

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.
John 15:12-13

I shall lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord.
Psalms 121:1-2

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
I Corinthians 13:4-8

And now abide faith, hope and love, these three but the greatest of these is love.
I Corinthians 13:13

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; And as a sheep before its shearers is silent. So He opened not His mouth.
Isaiah 53:1-7

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
Psalm 107:2
