Yashiro N. has..
OK. What is the New Face/Band Team without Yashiro N. The fact that his natural teammates are so different from him is what makes him and his teammates so neat. As you can gues, Yashiro leads his team, consisting of Shermie and Chris(Borg?). Shermie secretly likes yashiro, and Chris just kind of folows him around. The only time Chris will be in subjection to anyone is when it is to Yashiro, sometimes Shermie.
Yashiro and his team made their KOF debut in '97. They were unknown and new to the arena, but you couldn't tell by watching Yashiro N. (or the others) fight. He actually had come up with a plan to steal the entries of another team so that they could enter. Know one knew what to expect. The thing is that Yashiro N., Shermie, and Chris have a band that they have formed. They cannot seem to get a gig because a rival band, known to them as the band with the red-haired guy, is constantly getting all of the gigs at the live houses they want to play in because Yashiro's band is to similar to the other. This works Yashiro's nerves, but all of the others just kind of accepted it. It looked as though the band with the red-haired guy would snuff them forever unreturned.
That is until Yashiro found out about the KOF tournament. He saw that the red-haired guy was in the KOF and decided to join. Kind of weird how they decide over a bag of peanuts to face off against the worlds greatest fighters. Not only that, but they traveled all the way to the US to steal their entries. Yashiro says it's because he does things in style, which is true, but we all know why, (easy pickens). This act of theivery caused the discomfort between the Band team and everyone else in the tournament, so not really anyone likes them except themselves. Kind of drastic to get revenge on someone messing with your band.
Yashiro wants to humiliate this Red-Haired guy as much as possible, and the KOF seems the answer to this. But maybe something else is drawing him to the King Of Fighters tournament. Yes. Yashiro, like his teammates, is an Orochi. Orochi is to be awakened during the tournament and Yashiro and co. are going to be the pawns to do this. Mid-tournament, they realize that their destiny is greater than just carrying power and honing natural skill. Thus they divert all attention from the red-haired guy,(who is, if you haven't guessed, Iori Yagami) and channeled all of their strength to awakening the orochi. Meanwhile, they accidentally awaken the Orochi within Iori and Leona. The realization of his purpose explains everything about Yashiro, his strength, his living with Chris and Shermie for no reason, and his natural protection for Chris, who holds the Orochi within. I think their efforts have failed if KOF '98 is at all a sequel because They are still alive. They would have had to sacrifice themselves to the Orochi and that would have sucked.
Aside from that, Yashiro is a big Macho Man. He traveled the world in search of Shermie and Chris for unclarified reasons (he probably ended up traveling the whole world because he didn't expect anything of importance to be from Sweden). Yashiro does all of the typical things a guy at his prime age would do, he just does it in style. Chris is kind of like a fuel for his ego, so Yashiro just keeps on going about his Macho ways, partying and weight lifting like everyday is his birthday. He is the only person on his team with a rival, and he has only one, Iori. He want to see that crazy hair strung up on a telephone pole somewhere(just saying what he wants, not me). I like the fact that Yashiro is constantly tailgated by Chris and Shermie. You will rerely find Yashiro anywhere idly without his cohorts, which is why I always say "They" in this profile. This is reflected in the game, both preceeding, during, and after fights.
Fights? Lets not forget about the fighting. The best team for yashiro N. is his own, they are compatible in any way. The team I have him on wouldn't make it very far in a real tournament because Yashiro would try to kill Iori, who is in a riot of blood being in the presence of two Orochi's, and Yamazaki's Crazy and Crazy, ah yes and Crazy. You won't get much out of Yashiro with a different team(in fact it would probably be the only time he doesn't speak). If you have noticed, none of Yashiro's special moves involve kicks (unless you're Orochi Yashiro N. and you punt them to the ground afore slamming them to smithereens). Don't get confused though, his regular kicks are VERY devastating. Take advantage of the long range kicks and the decieving close hard kick. Use the rushing punch-est thing to win. If you are playing Orochi Yashiro N. you probably don't nees any advice if you know how to use the jumping spider grab, that leanes the opponent at your mercy. Crazy! Clark is nothing compared to Orochi Yashiro when throwing bodies around. His DM throws are interchangable, so if you can only do one on one side of the opponent, you can do the other on the other side. Oh yeah, as regular Yashiro, don't rely on the super DM one-hit strike puch on the computer after the second match. They start to put locks on it so that they automatically AB dodge when the strike is performed, no matted when.
Now Here! Yashiro N. strangely did all that traveling... to find band members? Yes, I believe so. Something made him go where he did, find a little boy and audition him, find a girl at the mall and sign her up. I'm sure you know about the strange bond between them. None of them can explain it, but they just feel the need to be around each other. Strange huh. It's unexplainable at least until the middle of the KOF '97 tournament... That's why they all live together. That's why he's Chris' idol, that's why they know how to fight REAL good with little experience. That is what drew them to recklessly enter the KOF '97 tournament, one of the biggest events in the world, only because Yashiro N. wants revenge on one guy. Well, the Orochi-ness does what it has to...
