Benimaru/Heidern... somewhat. This guy was mistaken for Ukyo Tachibana by many. As Ukyo sorts faded out of the narcist's spotlight, Sogetsu moved in, with his "accidental" charm (as he probably has no time for such things). Since this is his profile, I can't do as much speculating on him as I could in Kazuki's.
1: Kazuki is Sogetsu's brother. Younger or older, i'm not sure. I'll find out (remind me).
Sogetsu has no limelight until Kazuki leaves his clan, a forbidden act, to look for ihs sister who's in trouble (at the hands of Amakusa?). Sogetsu, on the other hand, expresses complete disregard for the situation. Of course, I don't know if he cares or not. He, however does not leave the clan (note, Kazuki didn't Betray the clan).
Sogetsu stays in line, even when he is assigned to kill Kazuki due to his treason. Like I said, Sogetsu has a cool, unbothered facade. Who can speculate as to whether he was bothered by either event, his sisters disappearence, his assignment to kill his brother.
Well, all this evidence toward Sogetsu's allegiance and obedience to his ninja clan, it's surprising to find out that he didn't kill Kazuki. Not that he didn't have the chance. I believe Kazuki knew he had to be killed and it was futile to resist (he didn't fight back) plus he already ensured the safety of his sister, but Sogetsu only roughed him up a bit. Kazuki easily survived the attack.
What's Sogetsu's deal in Samurai Shodown 64? Don't know. Is he out for Kazuki? Did they both turn against the clan? Have they both run off? Did Krizalid make clones? I'll have to find out.
