Chris (Futenfergen?)

Any ideas for last names for Chris?

Do you have any idea how suprised I was to find out that the end boss in KOF '97, the big kahuna of the game, the basis of the storyline was Chris? You can fight him up to three time in the game. As Orochi, as Chris, and as Orochi Chris(Gokaruugen?) E-Mail me if you have any ideas for last names for the fire throwing 14 yr. old.

That's right. The main-ness of KOF is the lovable 14 yr. old Swedish(yes swedish) boy Chris. He sounds kind of young and immature, but he is neat. He has a lot to do with the whole orochi thing.

Chris always knew he was special. He probably never had to go to school because he already knew everything (He's orochi mind you). Either how, Yashiro hardly seems like the type to force him. He often acts like he is special and above others, except for Yashiro N. and Shermie. found him. Yes, to me it seems that Yashiro is an idol for Chris(Haguukekeeggin?) One thing that bothers Chris is that he is a young immature boy, so he does things like look up to people. Yashiro (for reasons we know now) probably felt compelled to watch over Chris.

Now living with Yashiro and Shermie(His mom probably died many seem to like to do) he feels at home with true equals. It seems that, unlike Kyo and Iori's tech's, True Orochi power is selective, and not everyone in the bloodline has it. Chris is one of the eight orochi people type things, he is the one of fire. The role of all the others is to protect him, among other things.

In his normal life (before knowing anyting about Orochi anything) he is responsible for all of the cooking and cleaning, because he likes to. Shermie is like his best friend and Yashiro is very protective of Chris. In '97, they enter the tournament because Yashiro wants revenge on Iori for ruining their CYS band gigs. The New Face Team (Chris's team) had their own band, but Iori's band assembled first and so when the two are compared, Iori gets priority. Chris just follows Yashiro right into the battle(he was the only one who really knew what KOF was). He and his team, being orochi's, had natural skill. They just didn't know what for - Until the middle of the tournament.

They got in the tournament late by ambushing and stealing entries from a team they considered to be easy pickens(Rumored to be the '94 US team). That is probably why no one likes them in the tournament. They want their easy pickens too! After the tournament, Chris(Farinofle?) and co. challenged the champions to derive enough power to unleash orochi. In the ending, Yashiro kills Chris, Shermie and himself(Orochi like, osmosed right on out of chris).

That tenacious flim-flam reject Rugal tried to get some Orochi power, but it ended up as one of his crack addict failures. Goenitz, livied up to his duties of protecting the Orochi Power, but gave Rugal some Orochi power (to make Rugal and other peoples lives harder). Well, basically to see what would happened. Rugal exploded. See? Chris was whooping some Rugal even before '98. The relevance? The special intro between Rugal and Chris, where Rugal proclaims his want for what explodes him. A real winner that guy is.

Don't forget Chris likes too cook(explains one of his '98 sayings). He's generally REAL calm until you touch his hair...

When playing Chris in '97 or '98, keeping his real team saves advanced mode stocks. In '97, abuse the Chris wrist-ish death touch. In '98, the wrist isn't so formidable, so use his now comboable rushes. The trick to the hunting air in '97 is to walk backwards while the opponent jumps in and perform it as they HIT you. You'll jump up and double kick them IF you use the small kick version. Of course, there are safer anti-air options. but the hunting air, like Chris (???) is so cool.

Also, enjoy his cool voice and move quotes, too. Little is really known about Chris before Yashiro and Shermie. E-Mail me anything you know that isn't up.

Unconfirmed: Chris actually met up with Yashiro N. trying to get in his band. Yashiro thought he was too young and passed him off as some probably-annoying brat, yet strangely, even Yashiro N. didn't know why, he sent him to the auditons anyway, where Chris played better than he ever had, his skill was way better than he expected even. Yashiro N., not one to pass up good talent, signed Chris up on the spot. Although it's likely Shermie had a huge hand in it, seeing the value of Chris as kind of a default mascot. Chris had no family so Yashiro N. just had Chris move in with him. As far back as Chris can remember, he had no family and did any honest and decent thing he could to survive.

It looks like Chris is wearing a pair of Yashiro's pants when he fights.
