SETTING: BACK OF ARMY TRUCK
Drifter (Golden Retriver/Spaniel/dalmation) was in the lying down on the floor of the truck, chained up with a muzzle on his mouth.DRIFTER
(NEW YORK ACCENT, VOICE OVER)
My name is Drifter. As you can see, army people captured me. This army is works for something different than you might be thinking. I will go into detail later. If you have been seeing most of the Lone Dog episodes my name was been mentioned several times. I am going to give you the low down on my life.<FLASHBACK START>
SETTING: APARTMENT BUILDING
A Dalmatian gives birth to small black and white scruffy dog.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
That little puppy there, that's me. My mom fell in love with a local stray named Tracker, which of course is my dad.SETTING: NEW YORK STREET
Drifter and his mother are thrown from a car in the pouring rain.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
Which soon ended badly because when I was born. My mom's mistress drove us into town and left us on a New York street.In the background a man is taking pictures of Freckles (Drifter's mother) as she picks up Drifter and looks to find somewhere warm and dry.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
That guy in the background is part of the reason I am in this army truck now. More on that later.Freckles takes Drifter into the sewers and crawls through an opening in the wall.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
This place becomes a future home for my family. Mom would leave me here while she looked for food.Drifter is now six weeks old. He is all-alone in the place.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
One day, she left me and never came back. I decided to leave the sewer to look for her.Drifter goes out of the hole and leaves through an opening in the sewer.
DRIFTER
(BARK)
Mama, Mama.He ended up in a residential neighbourhood. Drifter was scared, it was night time and he was lost. He ran toward one of the houses and hid in a shed in the back yard.
SETTING: SHED (NEXT DAY, AFTERNOON)
A man in his early sixties came into the shed and found Drifter curled up trying to keep warm. He when into the house and got a blanket and wrapped Drifter in it and brought him into the house.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
That man became my first and only master. He recently lost his wife and was all alone. He was the one who gave me my name.SETTING: SIX MONTHS LATER
Drifter was playing in the yard with his master when a gunshot rang. It hit his master.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I was really pissed off when that happened. I saw the man with the gun and went after him. It turned out to be a big mistake.A rope goes around Drifter's neck and he is pulled into an army van and thrown into a cage. Drifter is barking to be let out.
SETTING: WAREHOUSE
Inside there are hundreds of dog cages all female dogs. Male dogs were kept in a separate room. Some of the cages had pups inside.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I was brought to this warehouse, which turned out to be a secret government lab for this project called the Mad Dog Project. This project was going to make regular dogs into super soldiers. It was horrible.Drifter was taken to the back room of the lab.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
As soon as I entered that room, I met the man who will become my worst enemy.SOLDIER
(ARMY-LIKE)
Here is the dog you were looking for, sir.DR GREGON
(EVIL SOUNDING)
Well, well, well, my new patient.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
He was so full of evil, he reeked of it.Drifter growls.
DR GREGON
(BLUNT)
You don't have to be so angry.Dr. Gregon turns to his other scientists.
DR. GREGON
(YELLING)
Begin the tests.SETTING: DOG KENNEL
A year goes by and Drifter has tests on him every single day. Dr Gregon left to leave for the UK because he now in charge of a new lab.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I was relieved that Dr Gregon left for the UK. There were no tests for a while. He was waiting for my second, whatever that meant. Not long after he left, animal right activates burst into the warehouse and released all the dogs including me. During all the hustle and bustle, a found my mother, she was locked up with the other females.DRIFTER
(BARK)
Mom.FRECKLES
(BARK)
Hurry up baby, get out of here.SETTING: NY STREETS
Drifter helps his mother back to the sewer home.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
My mom explained to me that she escaped that place when she was a pup. She escaped when she was getting transported. Before she was recaptured, the dogcatcher caught her.They reach the opening, inside was a mutt.

I heard what happened to you, sweetheart. It must have been terrible.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
It was cool to meet my father for the first time. He taught me how to survive on the streets like finding food, avoid the dogcatcher, etc.SETTING: NY STREET
Drifter leaves the sewer once and for all to live on his own.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I left home when I was ready. I have two new brothers now, Tramp and Trash. I help them move to a place down by the train tracks because humans were working down there.SETTING: NY HABOUR
Drifter makes a home in one of the old ship houses. During a walk one day he was nearly run over by two puppies.BUD
(BARK)
Excuse me.LILY
(BARK)
Pardon me.DRIFTER
(BARK)
Watch where you're going!!!SETTING: TRASH CANS (NEXT DAY)
Drifter finds a puppy in one of the boxes. The puppy is scared.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I could tell this pup was scared and alone.He goes closer to the pup.
DRIFTER
(BARK)
Hey, I won't hurt you kid.SETTING: NY STREETS
Drifter stuck up a friendship the pup that was named Rebel.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
Our friendship for that time didn't last every long. The pound captured Rebel and Mad Dog recaptured me.SETTING: MAD DOG SOLDIER COMPOUND

They turned me into a Cano-sapien and I was put through army training 16 hours a day. I played along with everything they were doing for the trainingDrifter is running through a training course. Every day it is different. He is racing against a Wolf-sapien. They both tie.
SETTING: WEIGHT ROOM
Drifter doing chin-ups and lifting weights in the weight and he is getting stronger by the day.LOUD SPEAKER
(MALE, CALM)
All Soldiers in Sections A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 come to Briefing Room 1. C2, D1, D2, E1, and E2 to Briefing Room 2. F1, F2, G1, G2, H1 to Briefing Room 3. H2, I1, I2, J1, and J2 to Briefing Room 4.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
Each section was in split into groups of 10. If you do the math that is 200 soldiers being trained on the base, but there are a lot more. Some like this place and some don't.Drifter leaves the weight room and outside the room was a Wolf-Sapien. He growled at Drifter as he walked by.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
One of those dogs that liked that hellhole was Thunder. He was one of the toughest SOBs in the whole base. He does anything to be the best of the best of all of the Canines of the base. He thinks the only one standing in the way is myself. For some strange reason, I was the favourite. What makes it worst, Thunder was in my section.Drifter enters Briefing Room 1 and sits down with his section. One of the commanders enters the room. All soldiers stand up was he walks to stage.
COMMANDER
(ARMY-LIKE)
You may sit down.All the soldiers sit down.
COMMANDER
(ARMY-LIKE)
All of you will be split into units of five. All of you are going to be transferred into the new quarters. You will live with them, train with them, eat them and learn to work with them. You will be given a room number that is located in the living quarters where all of you will meet. In the room the following information will be given: Who is the unit leader, training times, class times, and physical times. You got that!ALL CANINE SOLDIERS
(ARMY LIKE)
Yes sir!SETTING: LIVING QUARTERS
Drifter was walking through the crowded halls looking for room 113.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I don't know who was going to be in my unit. I was nervous.Drifter opened the door to the room and sees four other Cano-sapiens. There was a German Shepherd/Golden Lab (Xander), a malamute (Vera), Rhodesian Ridgeback (Padfoot), and young Golden Retriever/Collie pup (Breeze) in the corner.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
We got to know each other very good. Xander (Xander is shown creating electric lightning) has the power to create ball lightning and lightning bolts. Vera (Vera is shown creating ice balls) can create ice balls and freeze things. Padfoot (Padfoot is shown creating balls of fire) can create fireballs. Breeze is one of the few telempaths. She can sense the feelings of others or manipulate them. Her powers are still developing. I felt sorry for her. She was scared and she wanted out.SETTING: MAD DOG TRAINING FIELD
The trainees are using paintball rifles on the training field. Two units were pit against each other in a mock city. They were timed. The first team that has three marks on each of their members lost. The other team also had one of the other's team's youngest members as a hostage and they had to rescue.
Vera, Padfoot, and Xander, lead by Drifter had to go after one of the wolf units. The wolf unit had Breeze (when she was a puppy) and they had a wolf pup as a hostage. Xander was left behind to guard the hostage while they went after their captured teammate.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
The worst training was when they pitted two units against each other.The three of them stayed low to the ground to avoid detection from the other unit. They knew where their teammate was in the area. They slow enter the building. One of the wolves came out nowhere, shot Vera twice and Padfoot once. The group quick shot the wolf three times and he was now out of the game.
DRIFTER
(TOUGH)
One down, three to go.VERA
(TOUGH)
What we need is a distraction.PADFOOT
(COCKY)
Got it covered.Padfoot creates fireballs in his hands. He throws one fireball in one room and the second in the other. The rooms erupt in fire and smoke drawing one more wolf out. Vera and Drifter shot her and she are out of the game.
PADFOOT
(BLUNT)
Come on lets get Breeze.Padfoot runs up the stairs.
DRIFTER
(WARNING)
Padfoot, wait!Drifter and Vera quickly run after Drifter and three shots are fired. Padfoot is lying on the ground hurt with three rubber bullets beside him. In the shadows, Thunder was grinning. He was holding Breeze in the chokehold.
DRIFTER
(ANNOYED)
That is against the rules.THUNDER
(DEEP VOICE, GROWLS)
I make my own rules, Drifter.Drifter growls. He lunges at Thunder. Thunder throws Breeze out of his way to protect himself. Vera catches her and runs out of the building with her. Thunder pins Drifter to the floor.
THUNDER
(GROWL)
No one to stop me now.Drifter kick off Thunder and he is knocked into the wall. He growls.
THUNDER
(GROWL)
You are going to pay for that Drifter.DRIFTER
(SMUG)
Put it on my bill.A siren howls to indicate the training game was over. Mad Dog agents rush in to immobilize Drifter and Thunder. The agents came into Drifter's base of operations as well to get a stunned wolf to a medic. Padfoot was taken to a medic as well.
SETTING: Detention
Drifter and Thunder are placed in detention for the rest of the day.SETTING: Drifter's Unit Quarters
Drifter and his unit were planning an escape. Vera found there were others that were doing the same thing.SETTING: AROUND THE BASE
Groups of Cano-sapien are hijacking trucks in the vehicle storage. Some are running into the field past the wire and climbing the fence.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
The escape went well at first. Until the loyal to Mad Dog units came. They attacked the ones that were escaping. They were lead by Thunder.Vera is hiding in the back of the truck with Breeze, Padfoot, and Xander. Drifter was in the working on hot-wiring the truck.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
While hotwiring the truck I saw him bring his unit and others and began stunning the dogs trying to escape. My unit managed to get away. I don't know how many managed to get out.SETTING: STATE LINE
Drifter is leading Xander, Vera, Padfoot, and Breeze off at the state line.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I left them at the state line and told them to split up and keep moving. Vera was going to take care of Breeze until she was older and her powers were more developed.SETTING: HIGHWAY (OFF THE ROAD NEAR RIVERTON, WYOMING)
Drifter is look through the back of the truck to see what it was carrying. Inside there were large crates. He takes the crowbar that was lying on the floor of the truck and opens one of the large crates. Inside was a green motorcycle-like vehicle. On the motorcycle was the Road Rover symbol and under it was a serial number and under that the word ‘Borg.’DRIFTER
(IMPRESSED)
This thing is amazing.The Cycleborg goes online.
BORG
(MACHINE VOICE)
Hey! Look who you are calling a thing.Drifter steps back scared.
DRIFTER
(FRIGHTENED)
What the hell?!BORG
(MACHIHNE VOICE)
You haven’t seen a Cycleborg before, have you.Drifter nods his head yes.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I was so scared. I never seen a motorcycle or as Borg called himself a Cycleborg that was part alive. Borg told me the Road Rovers were transporting him, three other Cycleborg and equipment to a Strayer base of operations. Something attacked the transport and the next thing he knows he is in a crate.Drifter opens the other crates find the three other cycleborgs (Cycle, Red, and Violet), Petri weapons, tools, blankets, two trandogifers, computers, and a TV.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I needed a place to hide all this stuff because Mad Dog would want it back. I found a cave that was an old bomb shelter. Inside one part was a dirt bike, a motorcycle, and an old van.Red and Violet go in to look around and suddenly the ground began to shake.
CYCLE
(MACHINE VOICE)
EARTHQUAKE!!!Rocks and boulders fall from the cave ceiling and block that half of the cave that Red and Violet were in.
<FLASHBACK END>
SETTING: BACK OF TRUCK (OUTSIDE MAD DOG BASE)
The Mad Dog agents and soldiers are forcing Drifter out of the back of a truck. They point their tasers and guns at him.
SETTING: INSIDE MAD DOG BUILDINGDr. Gregon was waiting for him.DR. GREGON
(CALM)Well, well, well, look who has returned.Drifter growls at him.
DR. GREGON
(COMMANDING)Lock him up.Drifter is taken down a long hall.
<FLASHBACK START>
SETTING: Cave (two months later)
Drifter is setting up the computer system with tools he stole from a nearby ranch that was abandoned.SETTING: RANCH
Drifter was going to get more tools. When he sees a truck pull up to the ranch, he ducks out of sight behind the shed. He hears a dog bark when the truck stopped running.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)That bark was awfully familiar and I knew it anywhere. It was Rebel.Drifter takes a peek around the corner and he sees Rebel following a man (Victor) into the ranch house. Drifter moves closer to the ranch house and looked inside.
VICTOR
(ANGRY)You dumb mutt. I told you not to lie down on the sofa.Victor grabs a newspaper and whacks Rebel several times with it. Rebel whimpers and howls with whack.
Drifter hears another car coming and he quickly ducks out of sight again. A hummer drives up to the ranch. A man in a suit steps out of the hummer.Drifter gasps.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)I knew that man. He worked for Mad Dog. I have seen him on the training grounds several times.The man entered the building. Moments after the man enters, Rebel is dragged out by his collar and chained to the ranch house. When his master returned inside, Drifter comes out of the shadows.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)I know Rebel was in danger as long as he stayed there. The same thing that happened to me might happen to him. I had to get him out of there.Drifter walks towards Rebel but when Rebel sees him, he barks and snarls at him.
DRIFTER
(WHISPER)Rebel, it’s me, Drifter.Rebel stops barking quickly and whimpers.
REBEL
(BARK)What happened to you?DRIFTER
(WHISPER)I had a little change and I am here to get you out of here.Drifter cut the chain from Rebel’s neck.
SETTING: THE LAIR
Drifter takes Rebel back to the lair and puts him through the transdogfier.SETTING: Woods surrounding the Lair
Rebel is being trained.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)For a few weeks, I trained Rebel.SETTING: Animal Lab
Drifter and Rebel are breaking out all the animals in the lab.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
We started little. Mad Dog owned some of the places. I never told Rebel about Mad Dog.SETTING: Parvo’s Base
Both Drifter and Rebel are sneaking around Parvo’s base. There are over a hundred dogs waiting to be cano-mutated. Both of them watched in horror as Parvo’s goons took a dog and threw it into the cano-mutator and out came a large beast.REBEL
(CONFUSED)How can he do that to them?DRIFTER
(BLUNT)All these dogs had humans. We got to get them out.SETTING: Below
Parvo and Groomer are grinning at their work.GROOMER
(HAPPY)The Road Rovers won’t stop you this time, General.PARVO
(SNEER)One I get my cano-mutant army. Not even the Road Rovers will stop us. (Evil Laugh)SETTING: Above
Same as Before.REBEL
(WHISPER)We got to do something. We can’t let that guy turn those dogs into monsters.DRIFTER
(WHISPER)That’s what we are to going to do. I will blow up the cano-mutators and you get the dogs out.REBEL
(WHISPER)Ok.Both of them then split up. Drifter climbed down. He set the bombs on each of the cano-mutator. After setting the timer , he heard something.
PARVO
(VOICE ONLY, ANNOYED)Who let the dogs out?GROOMER
(VOICE ONLY, CALLING)Over there.Suddenly there were gunshots.
DRIFTER
(GASP)Rebel.Drifter runs away from the cano-mutator room and he runs toward the canine lock up. When he arrives, the cano-mutator room explodes. All the cano-mutants rush out of the area, not paying attention to Drifter.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)
I had to find Rebel and I feared the worst.Drifter slow turns the corner and sees Rebel on the floor in a pool of blood.
DRIFTER
(SCARED)REBEL!!!Drifter picks up Rebel and takes him out of the building.
SETTING: Sleeping area of the Lair.
Drifter was tending Rebel’s wounds. When he is changing Rebel’s bandages he sees something shocking.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)His wounds were gone. I figured that regeneration must be his super power. I decided that I should keep his power a secret. Finding out that his power is regeneration would probably make him cocky.Rebel wakens.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)I convinced Rebel that he had flesh wounds and he fainted.<Flash back end>
SETTING: Drifter’s cell
Drifter is thrown into a cell.GREGON
(VOICE ONLY)That cell is specially made just for you. (Evil Laugh)DRIFTER
(ANNOYED)What is so special about me?GREGON
(VOICE ONLY)You have something that none of my soldiers have, super intelligence. I am going to use you to upgrade a future generation of soldiers.Drifter growls under his breath.
GREGON
(VOICE ONLY)I saw a lot of potential in you. You could have been great, the best of the best. You just had to escape. Some of your fellow escapees are locked up here as well awaiting disposal in their weak forms.DRIFTER
(GROWLS)I rather be in regular form with a nice family than be one of your soldiers. You took that away from me. You ruined my life.<FLASHBACK>
SETTING: WAREHOUSE ON THE CALIFORNIA COAST (SIX HOURS AGO)
Both Drifter and Rebel arrive on Borg and Cycle.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)I found out from one of my felloe escapee friends that Mad Dog had equipment coming in. There was something I didn’t count on . . .A group of cano-mutants come into the area.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)Parvo found out about the shipment and where there are Parvo and Cano-mutants (the Road Rovers arrive), the Road Rovers are not far behind.Drifter and Rebel duck behind a building when the Road Rovers arrive.
DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)The Road Rovers have seen us before and they don’t like how we do things. The Rovers now consider us as an enemy.Drifter turns to Rebel.
DRIFTER
(STERN)Rebel, stay here and keep a look out. I have to do this alone.REBEL
(CONFUSED)But Drifter . . .DRIFTER
(STERN)Stay here.Drifter runs over to the next building and slips inside.
SETTING: INSIDE WAREHOUSE
The place was pitch black inside. When he turns around, all the light turn on. The whole place was filled with Mad Dog agents. There was one man in Special Ops uniform. Drifter knew him very well.DRIFTER
(VOICE OVER)His name is Drake Black. He is the ruthless head of the Mad Dog agents.BLACK
(TOUGH)I won’t move if I were you.Drifter growls.
BLACK
(TOUGH)You can come quietly.DRIFTER
(GROWL)Kiss my ass.BLACK
(TOUGH)Or not.Black signals to the agents.
BLACK
(ORDERS)Remember, Gregon wants him alive.Agents whip out their tasers. Drifter heads towards the door but the agents blocked it. The agents surround him.
<FADE OUT>
Drifter’s screams and yelps are heard.
<FADE IN>
SETTING: DRIFTER’S CELL
Drifter is sitting alone in the cell.DRIFTER
(THINKING)They blew up the place once they took me out of the area. I hope Rebel got away. He probably thinks I am dead. For now I will bide my time.
