Q: WHY DO THINK THIRD ROCK IS POPULAR?
JOEY: Will it's a hillarious show, first of all. It's pbservational humor, about human nature. It's Pretty facsinating, aliens learning what it's like to be human, and from that, figuring out what humanity is.
Q: WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE IN THE SHOW?
JOEY: I've been in show biz since the age of six, and I've never played any role besides that of a kid before. On 3rd Rock, I got the chance to play an alien and and an old man-since on his planet he's the oldest one-and a kid. It's so dif- ferent. It's the kind of role you hope for.
Q: DO YOU BELEIVE IN ALIENS?
JOEY: Of Course!
Q: DO YOU THINK THERE ARE ALIENS AMOUNG US NOW?
JOEY: If the aliens on this planet have the technology to get here, they have the technology to fool us.
Q: ARE YO INTO SCIENCE FICTION?
JOEY: I read alot of fantasy books like THE HOBBITT, by JRR Tolkien, and stuff by Isaac Asimov. I also really like JD Salinger.
Q: DO YOU LIKE SCI-FI TV SHOWS LIKE THE X-FILES?
JOEY: I don't watch much TV-and I don't like the X-Files-but I like Chicago Hope, Seinfeld, Friends, and Frasier, which is an excellent show.
Q: HAVE YOU BEEN IN OTHER TV SHOWS BESIDES 3RD ROCK?
JOEY: Yes. A few season's ago, I was on a short-lived sitcom called The Powers That Be-it co-starred David-Hyde Pierse, who plays Niles on Frasier.
Q: YOU'VE BEEN IN SEVERAL MOVIES, TOO, RIGHT?
JOEY: Right. The one most people know me for is Angels In The Outfield. but I also played Oliver in The Juror with Demi Moore.
Q: IS ANYONE ELSE IN YOUR FAMILY IN SHOW BIZ?
JOEY: No. My dad and my older brother sell computers. And my mom's a homemaker.
Q: YOUR MANAGER DISCOVERED YOU SINGING IN A CHILDREN'S CHOIR. DO YOU STILL SING?
JOEY: Not at all. I'd like to, but I wouldn't sing fot other people. I do play guitar, though.

Q: DO YOU WHERE YOUR HAIR REALLY LONG FOR YOUR 3RD ROCK CHARACTER, OR WOULD YOU WHERE IT THAT WAY ANYWAY?
JOEY: I grew it long before I got the show. None of the boys at my school had long hair, and I wanted to be different. But it didn't work out, because then other guys started growing their's and then nothings really different. But then the producer's of 3rd Rock really like it, so I kept it.
Q: DO YOUHAVE A MESSAGE FOR THE YOUNG FANS OF 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN?
JOEY: Just This: be who you are. Be your own person. Figure out life, figure out humanity. That's more imprtant than caring about material things.
