English Class........
The English Program at Centenary College is very unlike those offered at other universities. For starters, Centenary uses the First Year Experience in which freshman are assigned to read a novel over the summer in preparation for the upcoming year which will focus primarily around a theme related specifically to that reading. This year incoming freshmen were assigned Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN as according to the theme of Forbidden Knowledge selected by the college. Currently we are reading the works of Galileo, Machiavelli, and Bacon. As this page progresses, I will also include some of the essays that we are required to write for class, as well as notes on all three of the previously mentioned writers.
