Prague Castle

Under the Baroque* arch, across the Vltava River, the Cathedral of St. Vitus crowns the Prague Castle complex.  Originally a chapel founded by good Prince Wenceslas in the 10th century, the Cathedral was the stronghold of Catholicism in Bohemia and Moravia.

Prague will always remain for me in black in white.  It is also well suited to puddles.  Always reflecting the bright sky once the mud settles.

"Five year plans and New Deals wrapped in golden chains, and I wonder, still, I wonder, who'll stop the rain."
(John Fogerty)

"Prague in his novels [Kafka's] is a city without memory.  It has even forgotten its name."
(Milan Kundera)

Only the reflections on the street.

The Old Jewish Cemetery in the Old Jewish ghetto

Centuries old graves marked by  tombstones that seem to sprout from the ground like odd stone  stumps.

As long as there has been a Europe, Jews have been the target of persecution when times are bad.
