Recent reports have detailed Gretches found in the forest north of Portsmouth. The Presence of a handful of Gretch tribes has been known for some time, but the curious aspect of these were that the Gretch that had been found were individuals left close to death near the fringes of the woods with three scratches on each side of their face.

The Branford Royal Family has been the victim of a tragedy, their eldest sun Darien fell dead at the hand of an unknown assailant. A call was put forth to discover the cause of death and determine the identity of the assailant. The Call was answered by a group lead by a pair of Soleriss, Altair and Joliet Swalellh both oddly colored for their race, accompanied by Alexander Sunstar a gregarious Farohn, Natashya a Half-Sithe Gypsy woman, and Vandiala Shahklar a quiet and somewhat dour Shonai magic-user.
Through their efforts a strange glyph was determined to have been placed upon the Prince's heart in some way without magic or cutting the flesh. It is as yet unknown how or why this glyph was placed upon him, but a maid in the Palace has been detained for questioning, but no charges have yet been placed.
