Longlevens produced a solid performance in their winning encounter at Hucclecote. Longlevens were on the attack straight away following Hucclecote's kick off going straight out.Longlevens moved into Hucclecote's 22 through some well placed kicking by fly half Mike Foyle.The home side conceded a kickable penalty but 'levens elected to take the quick tap and through several phases of play, scrum half Gary Watts dummied down the blind side but was stopped short of the line.Hucclecote receovered but 'levens kept the pressure on, from which their first try came.Inside 'cote's 22, lock Dave Maddern stole the ball in the lineout and as 'levens forwards took the ball on, Watts supplied Foyle who managed to step in and out of three tackles and touch down under the posts.
Full back Goran Antonijetvic added the conversion.Hucclecote restarted but from conceding a penalty straight from the kick off, Longlevens moved into the home side's 22. The two teams exchanged passages of play, with 'levens forwards starting to dominate, particularly in the scrums. The pressure was turned into points as Hucclecote were caught offside from a Longlevens lineout. Antonijetvic stepped up and added three more points.
Hucclecote started to venture into 'levens' half from the restart and with the away side conceding ground through a series of penalties, Hucclecote collected their first points of the game with a penalty in front of the posts converted by fly half Fraiser Hinde. The next score came from Longlevens, as both teams exchanged possession and territory though tactical kicking. Antonijetvic added three more points after Hucclecote were adjudged to have killed the ball at the ruck.Hucclecote then replied with another penalty from Hinde.As the game drew towards half time, the home side found themselves further behind, unfortunately coming from an interception inside the 'levens 22 , by winger Eddie Cross who ran the length of the pitch to touch down under the posts.Antonijetvic added the conversion.

The second half started like the first with Longlevens being awarded a penalty in 'cote's half. This time though Antonijetvic placed it wide of the posts, but as Hucclecote missed an attempted kick to touch, 'levens launched an attack involving both forwards and backs, which nearly resulted in a try for lock Rob Sims, who unfortunately knocked on with the line at his mercy. Hucclecote cleared their lines but the restbite was shortlived as 'levens piled on the pressure with several phases of quick ball, causing 'cote to concede another penalty for killing the ball.This time Antonijetvic made no mistake and slotted home the penalty. The rest of the second half saw both sides threaten each other's lines, but it took an opportunist try from Foyle, who followed up a chip and chase to touch down for his second try of the game.Antonijetvic converted the try to seal the league points for Longlevens.
