BIOGRAPHY
An international film star at twenty-three, Leonardo began auditioning at age fourteen. After a stint in television, Leo moved on. By his seventeenth year he was sharing the screen with Robert De Niro in THIS BOY'S LIFE.
In offbeat films such as WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE, THE BASKETBALL DIARIES and ROMEO AND JULIET, Leo's meaty portrayals have propelled him to megastar status.
Leonardo has managed to pull off the dream career for a committed Hollywood actor; avid dramatic exploration coupled with broad-based appeal. Having starred in TITANIC, the biggest grossing movie of all time, Leonardo DiCaprio continues his long career search for diverse, challenging roles.
He has worked with many leading directors, including Baz Luhrman (ROMEO AND JULIET), Sam Raimi (QUICK AND THE DEAD), James Cameron (TITANIC), Lasse Hallsrom (WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE), Agnieszka Holland (TOTAL ECLIPSE), Jerry Zaks (MARVIN'S ROOM), Scott Kalvert (THE BASKETBALL DIARIES), and Michael Caton-Jones (THIS BOY'S LIFE). Leonardo recently completed work in the upcoming Woody Allen film CELEBRITY.
