Matt Stearsman is the head coach of the Western Kentucky Miners. Matt is also a student assistant for the 8 Time NCAA Division II National Champion Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers. He will be in his second season in that position in 2003-2004. Matt is a middle school Math and English Education major at KWC. He was a one year letterman for the Hopkins County Central Storm in basketball and a five year letterman in baseball. His basketball career was cut short after his sophomore year due to 2 knee surgeries. Matt coached an 8th grade all star team in 2002 that won the Kentucky ABA State Championship. He is a resident of Mortons Gap, KY.
