The Theatre

As I awoke on this Friday night, I could sense that something unatural and evil was in the air, and it was brewing a terrible, terrible plan. Drowsily, I slid out of my canopy bed in which I sleep, and went to the window. The night air was full of the perfumes of the people below who were going to the resturants, or theatres. There was also the not-so-perfumy smell coming from the direction of the graveyard ::Flash!Flash!:: They have returned once more....::Flash!Flash!::
The streets were lined with people waiting to get inside of the Theatre.::Flash!Flash:: Man! We're packed tonight, wonder how we'll do?::Flash!Flash!:: I brushed past them all, and went in the side door, the one that went directly backstage. It was filled with actors rushing about, waiting for their costume, or a chance at the mirrors to take a glance at them- selves. I was immdiatly greeted by the owner of the Purple Star(theatre), Dominque Maltz. He embraced me as we had done hundreds of times before, when I came in to perform.
My costume, a ruffled collar shirt, and a long blue jacket with a hole in the arm, wasn't exactly the top of the line in play costumes, but..Oh Well! At least I had a chance to be among mortals! Desmona, the young girl with the quite infectious laugh called me from back in her dressing room. The best of us have our own dressing rooms. She curtsied sweetly and asked me how she looked. She looked a little chunky, and her dress was ripped down the back, but I would have never told her that. I twirled her around and told her that she looked stunning. She blushed and shooed me away so that she could continue to get ready for her BIG performance.
