I know because I checked it twice,
I have a special gift for you this year,
But it can't wait till th 25th I fear,
My elves tell me it will be cold,
Too cold for this gift, I am told.
This gift would need to stay warm on trip,
So a few days, we will have to skip.

You will see that I came with my sleigh,
I am busy so no more delay,
