October 11th, 2001

It has now been one month since 9-11-01.
I made this page to show
we have not given up
on Hope, Peace or Love.

Our Spirit & Courage are stronger now than ever~!

America will never forget.

On Thursday, October 11th, 2001,
everyone in the USA who will be driving
a motor vehicle that day
drive with their headlights on
during daylight hours.

This will be the 30th day commemoration
in honor of our fallen friends
desecrated by the terrorists' attacks on NYC,
the Pentagon, and the highjacked plane
that crashed in PA.

The purpose of driving with headlights
on this day will:

1). Show our respect, friendship, and tribute
to all of those individuals
who lost their lives on that dreadful
September 11, 2001 day.

2). Show our concern for the family
members of those individuals.

3). Show those uncouth terrorists that the fabric
of the USA is stronger than steel.

4). Show that we Americans have solidarity
standing shoulder to shoulder against any
terrorists' acts upon the USA.

STEEL CROSS

By SHANNON McCAFFREY, Associated Press Writer NEW YORK (AP) - A cast iron ``cross'' found in the rubble of the World Trade Center has been adopted by rescue workers as a symbol of faith and blessed with holy water by a Franciscan priest. The 20-foot tall cross, consisting of two metal beams, fell intact from one of the twin towers into a nearby building. Laborer Frank Silecchia, 47, found the cross standing almost upright two days after the towers toppled Sept. 11. ``Some people will say it's velocity or physics that put it there. To me it's an act of God,'' said Silecchia, who cried for 20 minutes after his discovery. Since then rescue workers have made pilgrimages to pray or meditate near the cross. Some etch messages on it. ``God Bless Our Fallen Brothers,'' reads one tribute. On Wednesday, workers hoisted the cross atop a 40-foot high foundation, formerly a pedestrian walkway. Construction workers, firefighters and police officers stood quietly by as the Rev. Brian Jordan blessed it with holy water. ``Behold the glory of the cross at ground zero,'' Jordan said. ``This is our symbol of hope, our symbol of faith, our symbol of healing.'' The workers prayed and sang God Bless America together before returning to work.

Our American Flag is folded 13 times:

The first fold of our flag is a symbol of life.

The second fold is a symbol of our belief in eternal life.

The third fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing our ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of our country to attain peace throughout the world.

The fourth fold represents our weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance.

The fifth fold is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, "Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong."

The sixth fold is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

The seventh fold is a tribute to our Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.

The eighth fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day, and to honor mother, for whom it flies on Mother's Day.

The ninth fold is a tribute to womanhood; for it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.

The tenth fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of our country since they were first born.

The eleventh fold, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies in their eyes, the God of Abraham,Isaac, and Jacob.

The twelfth fold, in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies,in their eyes,God the Father, the Son,and Holy Spirit.

The thirteenth fold, the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding us of our nation's motto, "In God We Trust".

After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the sailors and marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for us the rights, privileges, and freedoms we enjoy today.

There are some traditions and ways of doing things which have deep meaning.

To the People who's lives were effected by this Act of Terrorism.
Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
Thanks to everyone who is helping with this tragedy.
May God Bless You!
