| 9 down, rhyming word: When cousins came over one morning, Paschal told us, "We're going to see the Lil' Man again," and I was ecstatic. However, someone was prepared to scare the bejeezus outta us. We barely even got a glimpse
of the Lil' character when we heard a deep voice roar, "GET OUT OF MY WOODS!"
and lick-a tee split we ran home. We thought either it was the Lil'
Man, or a big monstrous friend of his. What a rush, what a
ride,
because who ever was yelling really knew how to ________.
Later while playing Billy
Goat's Gruff, I recognized the deep roaring voice, it belonged to one of
my other brothers. He was playing the Troll and shouting, "GET OFF
OF MY BRIDGE!" However only recently, I figured out the real reason
why we got scared silly, a mischievous cousin was with us, and in no
time, a rock, or a stick would have been flying through the air to see
how far the Lil' Man on the Quaker Oats box could jump.

With five older siblings, grand adventures seemed to just happen.
This was especially true when we were in the woods. Every imaginable
thing was possible there, and they all whirled about
inside my head. I knew my brothers and sisters had seen plenty more
of the ________
than I had, so when they told me something was true, I believed them. Along
with this note, other areas of my childhood imagination will be foraged.
16 down,
familiar
usage: Besides Peter
Pan, Paschal had lots of other exciting books. If I was ever
missing, Mom always knew where to find me; I would be in his room looking
at super heroes in ________books.
