Tenchi Masaki is the main character of the series, hence the name Tenchi Muyo!. He is the son of Nobiyuki and Achika. He now lives with just his father. Her mother died when he was young. He helps run his grandfater's shrine. Tenchi is sympathetic and generous, especially since he lives with his dad, his grandfather, Ryoko, Ayeka, Sasami, Washu, and Ryo-Ohki. He does get angry often, mainly with Ryoko. Although they do fight, they stay friends. Tenchi easily makes friends. His polite and kind manner keeps the girls, and the show, together.
___________________________________________________________________________ *OAV*Tenchi is a normal teenager. He goes to school, he works, stuff like that. One day he decided he wanted to see what was in the cave near his grandfather's shrine. He looked through his grandfather's stuff until he was caught. His grandfather decided Tenchi could go to the cave if he could get the keys from him. Tenchi did the keys, and thrown into a wall. Tenchi went to the cave. Inside, he found a sword in a sheath which was said to have been used by the warrior Yosho, who fought and captured a demon in that very cave. Tenchi took the sword out of the sheath. The blade was rusted. He heard that the sword could split a stone in half. He decided to try this out. Tenchi hit the sword against a nearby stone. The blade crumbled apart, but amazingly, the stone was in two pieces. It turns out that that stone opened a hidden passageway. Tenchi was still curious. He went down the sloping hall (it was mainly an accident). The hall lead him to a small pool in the middle of a big room. Tenchi went closer to the pool. He saw the remains of a mummy in the middle of the pool. Suddenly, the mummy rose and started toward Tenchi. The first chance he got, Tenchi ran out of there. Later at school, Tenchi went up to the roof to relax. He accidentally fell asleep. When he work up, it was dark. When he got up, he saw a cat. Tenchi went up to the cat and it disappered. It was a trick from Ryoko, the mummy and demon that was in the cave. Ryoko talked about the pain she went through and that she wanted revenge. She was going to take it out on Tenchi. A fight insued. After a while of running, Tenchi found out how Ryoko used her powers. It was a gem on her right wrist. Tenchi confronted Ryoko just outside of the school. Ryoko ran to attack, but was stopped by the sword Tenchi found in the cave. It turns out that it did have magical powers and a light saber type blade appeared from the sword. Tenchi used it to cut off Ryoko's hand. Ryoko admitted she was defeated, grew her arm back,and sank into the ground. When Tenchi came home, he was not alone in his room. Ryoko snuck in and slept in Tenchi's bed. That was the beginning of the adventure.
