Then and Now

Lyrics to the infamous Elbow Song

A tradition at TCC is whenver you see someone with their elbows on the dining table at mealtimes, you must sing the elbow song.  The song goes somewhat like this (assuming that the offender is Tim McHenry)

"Get your elbows off the table, Tim McHenry
Get your elbows off the table, Tim McHenry
We have you seen you once or twice
And it isn't very nice
Get your elbows off the table, Tim McHenry

[clap rhythmically]
'Round the mess hall you must go
you must go
you must go
'Round the mess hall you must go
you must go
you must go
acting like [a nerd]"

You may substitute "a nerd" with any other undesireable item.  Other substitutes have been Steve Erkel, a dog, etc...
I'm not really sure how this song started out.  Perhaps it is a tradition at other camps....

This song is not unique to TCC.  Here's a link I discovered on a net search.  (It's the second song listed)
