Background:  I've been drawing since I was very, very young, and making up stories for almost as long.  Before I could write or type, I would dictate fictional adventures of He-Man, the Transformers, and the like to my aunt… when she was in a typing mood.  I also drew stories featuring those same characters.  Around the second grade I became a big fan of Disney's duck characters, and taught myself how to draw Donald, Scrooge, and the rest… a skill I still retain to this day.  I've also long been interested in comic books, and love drawing Marvel characters and writing about them.  I came to the internet fan-fiction scene around my senior year of high school, when Toonami debuted and I renewed my interest in the ThunderCats.  Under my old AOL screen name of WeedMemlo2, I wrote a three part tale called ThunderCats Return, which led to my getting a few parts in a ThunderCats play-by-e-mail RPG.  I put out two more ThunderCats tales, one of which was titled Ghost Ship, and the other of which was a crossover with He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, titled To Save Two Worlds.  There were other ThunderCats-related projects I started, but never finished.  I still love to write and draw, a fact to which this site can attest.
On the RPG (Role-Playing Game) end of the spectrum, I've been involved in that hobby since around the fifth grade when my friends and I began playing with the
Marvel Super Heroes Advanced Set.  I've played many RPGs since then, but Marvel will always hold the highest point of esteem for me.  As the Game Master, I started a campaign called Avengers Europe, which has proceeded, albeit with some very large gaps of time, for the past nine-and-a-half years.  Mind you, we've probably only played for four or so of those years… but it's always been a part of my Marvel Universe, even when other characters were being used.
And as for anime… Well, that's a fairly new aspect of my life.  When Toonami debuted, I watched it for ThunderCats.  I'd never been a fan of Voltron, and I'd seen all the episodes of the new Jonny Quest many times over already.  But then Robotech came along, and I was intrigued.  As one of my friends put it, Robotech is the anime gateway drug.  I've since watched several anime series, most of which I get from Cartoon Network.  I like dubbed better than subtitled, with the exception of
Urusei Yatsura.  I would never, ever watch it dubbed.  Most anything else, though, if I watch subtitled, I think to myself, "I'd be enjoying this more if it were dubbed."  I digress, though.  After Robotech came DBZ, and I was immediately taken with it.  I read all about it on the internet, and have been following the series and reading the monthly manga from Viz Communications ever since.  For the record, I like the low-powered wackiness of Dragonball much more than the cosmically-scaled DBZ.  That's about it.  If you've read through all this, I salute your tenacity.
