The All-New, All-Different GINYU FORCE:
Little Known Facts

Greetings, and welcome to yet another new segment of the home of the new Ginyu Force! I shouldn't have to explain myself if you've read the above title, but since I like looking at my own words so much, I will: On this page, you'll find several little known facts about the new Ginyu Force and their friends and possibly foes. I'll be starting off with a fair number of these things, and as they occur to me to do so, I'll be adding more. Most of them are things that I've known about the characters for some time but haven't had room for in any of my stories, while others may be things that actually happened in the Dragonball Z RPG campaign I ran that involved some of them. Anyway, get ready for some fun, because here we go!

Nya nya, I'm taller!
Coliflur is Asparaga and Asparaga is Coliflur: Back in the days of my Dragonball Z RPG campaign (affectionately known as DBZUY1/2), I decided a female Saiyan would make a good foe for my players. The original picture I whipped up one boring day in class had Coliflur’s height and, umm… chest, but her hair looked more like Asparaga. When she first appeared to menace the gang in the RPG storyline, her name was in fact Asparaga, but she proved not to be as interesting as I’d hoped. Later on, I created Coliflur to be Asparaga’s sister, and I instantly decided that I liked her more. She had minions, and she was a lot easier to come up with a back story for. Of course, these days I like Asparaga a lot too, for different reasons, but back then she was more of a failed experiment. And of course, as I said, both of them were born from that original sketch I drew in school.

Is she wearing pants?!?
Melonia’s navel ring has the new Ginyu Force logo on it: Is it a navel ring if it’s not actually in the shape of a ring? Maybe the correct term is navel stud. I don’t know these things. Nonetheless, even though I’ve never mentioned it and it’s obviously too small to draw into any of my pictures, trust me… her navel whatever-you-call-it has the logo of the new Ginyu Force on it.

Owtch!
Frosta is missing a finger: Another fun fact harkening back to the days of the DBZUY1/2 adventures, this one involves our favorite changeling hedonist. During her first appearance, Frosta challenged one of the ZUY1/2 Fighters, the master swordsman named Zeno. In the ensuing conflict, while Frosta was pointing at Zeno, he took a good swing and chopped off the index finger of her right hand. You wouldn’t know it from the one picture of her I have on this site, since I forgot about the missing digit when I drew it, but it is a fact.

Score: Zeno 1, Coliflur's Tail 0
Coliflur stole her Saiyan Blade from someone else: Speaking of Zeno, here’s something of note: In the DBZUY1/2 campaign, Zeno created a ki-powered energy blade called the Kant Cutlass. In his first battle with Coliflur, he used that weapon to slice her tail off. Over the next couple of years, Coliflur stewed at this indignity and decided to perform some poetic justice on Zeno. She developed her own ki sword to kill him with, and named it the Saiyan Blade. Of course, Coliflur wound up working with the ZUY1/2 Fighters and eventually abandoned her grudge against Zeno… but without his influence, the Saiyan Blade wouldn’t exist today. And as a side note along the same lines, another of Coliflur’s attacks — the Shatterblast — is named after a superhero character I created in my youth. I always loved that name, and finally found a way to recycle it for more exposure.

Geez, how brutal!
Noklok — dead?!?: While we’re on the subject of people stealing attacks, you may recall that Noklok has on occasion used a Destructo-Disk-type attack called the Sushi Cutter. I believe I mentioned in his bio that he learned it from Tim, one of the ZUY1/2 Fighters. But did you know that Noklok was once cut in half by Tim’s Sushi Cutter? Only the power of Earth’s Dragonballs brought him back from beyond. Then, a couple of years later, he competed in a Tenka’ichi Budokai and found himself in battle with Tim. This time the Sushi Cutter nearly killed Noklok again, and only Tim’s Namekkian child Yazbum and Zeno’s daughter Britney could heal him.

Isn't she cute?
Slyme can’t stop regenerating: On Earth, when Melonia first got her navel piercing, Slyme got her ears pierced. It turned out she had to get them re-pierced several more times, because she kept involuntarily using her Namekian powers to regenerate the holes! She’s finally gotten accustomed to the piercings, however, and wears her gold earrings proudly.

Yes, it's the same two pictures repeated over and over--what do you want from me?
Kiwi comes from a big litter: We know that Kiwi has a brother, Pinapo. We met him in The Forgotten Z-Fighters and have heard about him in the adventures of the New Ginyu Force. But did you know that our purple pal also has about four more brothers and sisters? Whether or not they’re all still alive, I don’t know. But I like to think that guy with the cape from one of the Freeza Saga DBZ TV episodes was related to him. Oh, and despite the fact that they look exactly alike, Ring the flagship gunner is not related to Kiwi.

CENSORED!
Melonia swears like a sailor: Here’s a little known fact within a little known fact: There are two versions of every volume of the Ginyu Force’s adventures. I write the original, full-power version, then when it’s done I go through with MS Word’s “find and replace” feature to edit out any extremely harsh language. It’s my way of keeping my little corner of the internet rated PG (or PG-13 sometimes). Nonetheless, in the original, unedited version, Mel talks like a Quentin Tarantino movie. Well, maybe not that bad… but she’s filled with profanity, that’s for certain.

Whatta family man!
Nappa has a heart: I’m not sure whether or not I’ve mentioned this elsewhere, so here it is: The catalyst that caused Nappa to go Super Saiyan back in the DBZUY1/2 campaign was the kidnapping of his son Tato and the death of his mate, Asparaga. Does this mean he really does care? Probably, though at the time of his first transformation, his heart was definitely pure evil.

This article is OVER!
Slyme is horny: Slyme is a female Namekkian. Unlike the rest of her race, she was created with, well… girl parts. And naturally, those parts allow her to be aroused, etc., and she’s never been, er… touched by a man. Umm… hmm, maybe this fact was best left little-known. But just remember, and tell all your friends — Slyme is horny.
