THE ZUY½ FIGHTERS They were the heroes of my Dragonball Z RPG campaign. Two of them were characters from another anime, adapted to DBZ. The rest were originally created warriors. They are the ZUY½ Fighters, scourge to evil in any form! For the following bios, I will provide a picture where possible, and indicate whether they were Player Characters (PCs, played by an actual person) or Non-Player Characters (NPCs, played by me, the Gamemaster. Also, these bios reflect the characters at the end of my campaign (about seven years before the New Ginyu Force's first volume). Enjoy!

Powers: Mendou has mastered his ki to the point that he can sense it, use it to fly, and create energy attacks with it. His signature attack is a ki bolt called the Trouble Shooter, which is a thin beam shot from the hands. He also has an explosive ki maneuver called the Bushido Bomb, and a physical attack called Moroboshi!, which is reserved only for his arch-foe. Mendou also possesses the ability to be Suave, thus distracting and otherwise stunning the ladies. He is a master swordsman, and has perfected a sword strike he calls his Iai Mendou. Mendou learned the art of Getting Big (growing) from martial arts master Genma Saotome, and he can perform a multi-form attack called the Clone Maneuver, which he learned from the deranged monk, Sakurambo, aka Cherry. Background: Mendou's life before becoming a martial artist is complicated enough already. He is the heir to the Mendou Conglomerate, one of the largest companies in the world, and he is a direct descendent of the samurai of ancient Japan. Mendou attended high school with some of Tomobiki's more interesting students, including the lecherous Ataru Moroboshi, Ataru's alien wife Lum, Lum's dedicated guards Megane, Perm, and Kakugari, as well as several more. In his time at Tomobiki high, Mendou was involved in more than his share of bizarre and amazing incidents, all of which can be read about at Tomobiki.com, the ultimate Urusei Yatsura website.

Powers: Ryoga has mastered his ki, and can sense it from others, fly, and project ki attacks. His signature ki wave is called the Shishi Hokodan, which draws upon his depression to create a powerful energy blast. He has also managed to master a move called the Bakusai Tensetsu, or "Breaking Point" maneuver, which can be used to smash through nearly any solid surface. Ryoga later adapted this move into the stronger "Shin (new) Bakusai Tensetsu. He has a nearly endless supply of bandanas, and can throw them as weapons. Perhaps his strongest ability is the "Mark of the Gods," a symbol that some crazy old man placed upon him that allows him to draw upon hidden power and become stronger than normal. Ryoga has begun to understand the principles of the Kamehameha, and he has learned the art of Getting Big from Genma Saotome. Finally, though not an actual power, Ryoga can transform into a pig named P-Chan when hit with cold water, and back into himself when hit with hot water. Background: Ryoga is sometimes known as the "Eternally Lost Boy" due to the fact that he has no sense of direction. As a child, he challenged his classmate Ranma Saotome to a martial arts duel in a local vacant lot… and took several years to finally show up. However, once he found the lot and Furinkan, the town he once lived in, he seemed to be drawn back to it wherever he went. Like Mendou, Ryoga had quite a history getting involved in strange and wondrous adventures before he ever became a ZUY½ Fighter. For more information on Ryoga and his friends and enemies, please see the definitive Ranma ½ page… so definitive, it needs no name.

TIM Real Name: Tim Type: PC Occupation: Head of an international chain of sushi restaurants Place of Birth: Unknown Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: Uwakiana Kyonyuu (possible niece) Base of Operations: Mobile, but his sushi empire is headquartered in South City. Group Affiliation: ZUY½ Fighters Past Group Affiliations: None Age: 91 Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Power Level: 8,200
Powers: Tim has complete control of his kit to the point that he can sense it, fly, and use it to create energy attacks. His signature attack is a sawblade-like disc called the Sushi Cutter, which has on two occasions cut Noklok in half. He has also picked up a standard energy wave called the Sonononononzu, and he has two physical attacks that he seldom uses, called Tim's Tornado Takedown and the Hay Breaker. Tim also has the Piccolo-esque ability to take far more punishment than he should, and still keep fighting. Tim is a novice Pokémon trainer, and carries with him at all time a Lickatung named Marc, a Snorlax named Lard Lad, a Lapras named Willy, an Exeggcutor named named The VP, a Magmar called Li'l Hellion, and a Pikachu named Peepémon. Background: Tim was born long, long ago, and has gone through much in his ninety years. He made enemies with the family of a young lover while he was only 20ish, and they vowed to see him dead. Later, in his forties, he crossed paths with the family of future casino-owener Gul Daimon, and did them a small favor. A decade later, some undefined incident caused him to develop Multiple Personality Syndrome Disorder--he can shift between a loud-mouthed sushi-chef and a semi-serous martial artist. While in his sixties he fell in love again, but the woman of his dreams was kidnapped by Gul Daimon himself and never seen again. Tim was shortly thereafter accused of this kidnapping, and a sinister organization called THEO (Time-Honored Evil Organization) has been hunting him since. Eventually, while inspecting one of his sushi restaurants in a fishing village near South City, Tim met Shutaro Mendou and began accompanying him on his adventures as he raced towards the Tenka'ichi Budokai.

ZENO Real Name: Zeno Type: PC Occupation: Philosopher and Gambler Place of Birth: Unknown Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: Britney Zeno (daughter) Base of Operations: West City Group Affiliation: ZUY½ Fighters Past Group Affiliations: None Age: 37 Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Power Level: 6,000
Powers: Zeno has mastered his ki and can utilize it to fly, create energy attacks, and sense it in others. His signature attack is a blade of ki he calls his Kant Cutlass. He once used this attack to cut Coliflur's tail off, and it became the basis for her own energy sword, the Saiyan Blade. Zeno also has a number of custom physical attacks, including the Enlightened Despot, the Metaphysical Fusillade, and the Plato Power Punch. His strongest energy attack is the All-Seeing Eye, a maneuver which causes a third eye to appear on his forehead and fire a blast of ki. Before he created the Kant Cutlass, Zeno also carried a katana, and had a personalized attack using it as well, which he called the Kierkegard Katana. Finally, Zeno has developed the powers of his mind to gain the power of telekinesis. Also, he has a few Pokémon at his disposal, including a Bulbasaur, ten Digletts, and no less than 30 Geodudes. For some reason, he also keeps the corpse of a Magicarp on his person. Background: Zeno hails from West City, where he has lived most of his life. Early on, while he was about 19, he got in some hot water with casino owner Gul Daimon, when he won 110,000 zeni from Gul's casino and had an affair with Gul's wife Glinn, producing a daughter named Britney. Glinn left her husband to live with Zeno, but was eventually kidnapped by Gul Daimon and hidden away in a dungeon to rot. It would be many years before Zeno would finally be reunited with his sweetheart. Zeno became involved in the world of high finance and made a fortune, which he used to support himself and his daughter. While making his millions, Zeno met and befriended a famous scientist named Gangat, who worked for the Capsule Corporation. For reasons unknown, Zeno also turned his love of philosophy into a martial art, and decided that he and Gangat would one day enter the Tenka'ichi Budokai. It was on this path towards the tournament that they met Shutaro Mendou and Tim, and joined them in their many adventures.

GANGAT Real Name: Gangat Type: PC Occupation: Scientist and Martial Artist Place of Birth: Unknown Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: None Base of Operations: West City Group Affiliation: ZUY½ Fighters, Capsule Corporation Past Group Affiliations: None Age: 28 Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Power Level: 8,500
Powers: Gangat has mastered his ki to the point that he can sense it in others, use it to fly, and project energy blasts with it. His main ki attack is an area-encompassing explosive charge called the Overbearing Onslaught. He has also perfected a much weaker attack called the Judgemental Bolt, and he has begun experimenting with the Kamehameha. Gangat is also half-Nemekkian, and as a result he can stretch parts of his body and regenerate lost limbs. Background: Gangat is an inventor from West City whose impeccable skills got him a job at the Capsule Corporation. Little is known of his life before he met Zeno, with whom he became good friends. The pair spent most of their time together, up to and including the day they met Shutaro Mendou and the sushi chef Tim. They agreed to join up with these two warriors and train together for the Tenka'ichi Budokai. Perhaps the strangest thing that ever happened to Gangat was the day when, on New Namek, he came across a dying Namekkian. Somehow this Namek was able to fuse with Gangat, even though Gangat was a human. This fusion created the first (and thankfully only) Humekkian ever.

YAZBUM Real Name: Yazbum Jr. Type: NPC Occupation: Tim's personal assistant Place of Birth: A starship in deep space Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: Yazbum (father) Base of Operations: West City Group Affiliation: ZUY½ Fighters Past Group Affiliations: None Age: 5 Height: Unknown Weight: Unknown Power Level: 2,500

He is a master of first aid, and has the usual Namekkain powers of limb stretching and regeneration. He can communicate through telepathy and furthermore, he can heal others by touch. Yazbum's father could teleport over intergalactic distances, but thus far the younger Yazbum has not exhibited any such powers. Background: The original Yazbum, this one's father, was for some reason rocketed away from Namek as a youngster, much like Piccolo. Yazbum landed on planet Arganora, where he lived in peace with its inhabitants for many years. While on Arganora, Yazbum unlocked the ability to create Dragonballs, and formed a set for the people of Arganora. Finally, one day a stranger arrived in search of those Dragonballs--Asparaga, who wanted to resurrect her lover Nappa. Yazbum found that he was no match for the Saiyan warrior, and so he probed her mind to find the details of her last defeat--on planet Earth at the hands of the ZUY½ Fighters. Yazbum transported himself to Earth where he found that he was just in time for the Tenka'ichi Budokai. He entered the tournament to test the warriors he would need, and when he found them able, he transported all of them to Arganora where they found that in addition to Asparaga, Coliflur had now arrived with her henchmen Noklok, Alvino, Drog, and Meebor. Yazbum did battle with Coliflur and died in the process, but he managed to produce an egg before passing on. That egg was adopted by Tim, and when it hatched he took the newly-born Yazbum jr. as his adoptive son. The two have been inseparable since.
