Background: The original Red Ribbon Army was a force to be reckoned with across the globe, a sinister organization dedicated to world domination… Until the day they were wiped out by a lone, monkey tailed boy named Son Goku. Though the army was destroyed, a handful of its higher-ranking officers escaped to tell the tale, including the sinister android designer, Dr. Gero. Gero had already taken the bodies of Colonel Silver and General Blue, two recently executed officers, and he managed to get ahold of Colonel Violet as well, asking her if she wanted to undergo his experimental process to become an android. Violet agreed, and all three officers were subjected to Gero’s process and turned into androids. However, when Gero decided he could do better, he put his three new androids in storage and moved on to other projects.
Time passed, and eventually Gero’s lab was destroyed, awakening Violet and Blue, androids 10 and 11, in the process. Their memories were damaged, however, and they had no idea who they were. They went their separate ways, and Violet even got married and had a child, a girl named Iresa. After several years, Blue’s memory was jump-started, and he regained his evil personality. He set out in search of Iresa, and when he found her he restored her own memory as well. Iresa left her husband and child and set out with Blue to rebuild the Red Ribbon Army. They tracked down and released Silver, android 12, to aid them, and set up shop in the old Red Ribbon headquarters. Their first mission ended in disaster, however, when they ran afoul of the ZUY½ Fighters, who dispatched them, killed Silver, and split Blue in two. Violet and the remaining half of Blue retreated to plot for the future. Over the next few years, they found Dr. Gero’s android technology and upgraded themselves, moved into an old pirate cave Blue had found decades before when he was first with the army, started building a force of android warriors based on Gero’s Number Sixteen and Number Nineteen models, and began recruiting human warriors into their ranks as well.
Finally, Blue dispatched the army’s forces to seek out and capture the seven magical Dragonballs, a quest he himself had undertaken when he was originally under the command of the old Red Ribbon Army’s Commander Red. Along the way, Blue’s agents met up with Melonia and her friends, leading to a globe-spanning race to acquire the Dragonballs.
