Powers: Over the past few years, Melonia has honed her control over her ki. She can use it to fly, and knows how to throw energy blasts and sense it from others. Her signature attacks are the ki-mitar, a curved blade patterned after Coliflur's Saiyan Blade, and the Spiral Balls, two spheres of ki that are thrown, one from each hand, and twist around one another in flight before joining to become one large ki bomb upon impact.
Background: Melonia was born on the planet that was settled decades ago by a group of Saiyans under the command of the explorer Hozrados. She was taught rudimentary combat techniques, but on the peaceful planet of the Saiyan settlers, most combat was unnecessary. However, shortly after the Been Team was thawed out, their junior member Firhala killed Melonia's boyfriend Punkn. Filled with rage over his death, Melonia went Super Saiyan but her control was limited and Frihala defeated her as well. She agreed to become Coliflur's protégé so that she could gain finer control over her Super Saiyan form and eventually destroy Frihala.
After training in the Room of Spirit and time for a year with her mentor, Melonia emerged with enough power to defeat every member of the Been Team, though it took the help of her most hated foe, Frihala, to finish off their leader, General Gren. Still distraught over her past, Melonia chose to remain on Earth and sort things out while the rest of her friends returned to space. Some soul-searching led her to the decision to enroll at Papaya Island’s university, where she met and befriended a girl named Iresa… and through Iresa, Melonia met her boyfriend, Sharpner.
Though she now lives on Earth, Melonia is always ready to aid the new Ginyu Force when needed, and recently proved that fact in battle against the reborn Captain Ginyu (twice) as well as the sinister Garlic Jr. in the Dead Zone. Recently, Melonia has begun teaching Sharpner how to find his own ki and utilize it. Though they both know he will never be as powerful as Melonia, she would like to see her boyfriend realize some of his potential.
