Powers: Ginyu has complete control over his ki, giving him the abilities to fly and project energy blasts with it. While in Android 16’s body, he possessed the ability to fly without use of ki and had a built-in scouter for detecting others’ fighting power. His greatest technique, however, is the ability to switch bodies with anyone else he desires, simply by shouting "Change!" and shooting a beam of energy from his mouth to that person.

Powers: Kazam is a powerful sorcerer, with several abilities at his disposal: He can teleport, fly, and use his magic powers to open a portal to the void known as the Dead Zone. Perhaps his most useful spell, however, is an ancient Majin technique that allows him to tap into the evil in another’s heart and take mental control over them.
Background: Captain Ginyu is, of course, a villain that should be well-known to any Dragonball fan. He battled Goku on planet Namek, and even stole the warrior’s own body for some time. Then, while trying to pull the same trick on Vegeta, Ginyu was accidentally transferred into the body of a Namekian frog. He spent many years in that form, living at the Capsule Corporation building, more or less resigned to his fate -- until the day Coliflur and her friends showed up there, looking for Vegeta. They explained that they had formed a "new Ginyu Force" dedicated to righting wrongs and fighting against injustice in the galaxy. Ginyu would have none of this, and set out to deal with his former protégé and her team. He was able to steal the body of the powerful Android 16, and then Ginyu set out into space to form a new evil team to take over the galaxy.
His first stop was Planet Ginyu, a word Freeza had bequeathed to him years before as a reward for his loyal service. There, Ginyu was reunited with Majin Kazam. Kazam was a powerful sorcerer the captain had met long ago while still in Freeza’s service. In a rare moment of disloyalty, Ginyu had hired Kazam into his own cabal without telling Freeza, and allowed the Majin to stand guard over Planet Ginyu while practicing his spells. Now, that move paid off as Ginyu began to rebuild his forces to challenge the Galactic Space Government and the "new" Ginyu Force. With Kazam’s help, Ginyu located a pair of powerful warriors traveling the Outer Rim -- Alvino and Shi-Nya. Remembering Ginyu from his days with Freeza’s forces, Alvino was only too glad to join up -- especially since Ginyu plotted revenge on Alvino’s hated foe Coliflur.
So, while Alvino, Shi-Nya, and Kazam continued to track down recruits for Ginyu’s army, Ginyu himself trained in his new body, learning its ins and outs to the point that he had full mastery of its power. By the time he was ready, his agents had amassed a small army to serve him, complete with a fleet of starships. At last, Ginyu was ready for his vengeance.
