Powers: Shi-Nya can control her ki with ease, and has mastered flight and energy blasts. She is exceptionally fast, often using Zanzoken to confuse her opponents in battle.
Background: Alvino was a member of the Feeza gang who, dissatisfied with his assignments and his pay, deserted with Coliflur, Meebor, Noklok, and Drog. He traveled the galaxy with these four as a mercenary, and lived the good life doing so. Finally, there came a fateful day on planet Arganora when his life changed. Coliflur had gotten wind that Asparaga was headed to Arganora to use the world's little-known Dragonballs to resurrect Nappa. Coliflur and her team followed Asparaga, splitting up to find her. Alvino and Drog instead ran afoul of the ZUY1/2 Fighters and challenged them. The Earth-born warriors defeated their alien foes and moved on to battle Noklok and Meebor, then Coliflur, Asparaga, and Nappa themselves. Following the battle, many combatants escaped from Arganora. Alvino, however, was left behind… as were Meebor, Noklok, Asparaga, and Nappa.
Meebor and Noklok soon joined forces with Nappa and Asapraga, but Alvino saw this as treason against Coliflur, who he expected to return for him soon. Alvino went into hiding to wait for that day, which never came. Eventually Nappa, Asparaga, Meebor, and Noklok were rescued by Frosta, but by this time Alvino had been in hiding for so long that he felt it would be poor form to suddenly show himself and bum a ride. Therefore he remained hidden and watched as what was possibly his only salvation left without him.
In the years he spent marooned on Arganora, Alvino set up a home on a small, uncharted island. He lived peacefully there, but within him his anger brewed. He felt betrayed by everyone, from Coliflur to Meebor and Noklok. He vowed that if he ever escaped, he would see Coliflur dead. Eventually a young Arganoran woman named Shi-Nya was shipwrecked on Alvino's island. She was apparently a criminal seeking to escape justice, and Alvino like this aspect of her. Realizing that she had great potential to develop her ki, he began training her in the martial arts. The two grew very close, as their bond of teacher and student became something more. They were alone, after all, with no one else to reach out to.
Finally, the day came when a Truffle ship entered the Arganoran system. Alvino used the scouter device built into his shades to hail them, and their captain, one Doctor Stool, picked the marooned warriors up. On board the ship, Alvino and Shi-Nya learned that the Truffle hated all Saiyans, and had even had a run-in with Coliflur some time back, during which he had extracted some of her DNA and cloned her. The clone had finally reached maturity, and was ready to be loosed on the galaxy. Stool offered Alvino and Shi-Nya the chance to join them, promising to pay them handsomely for their services. Alvino agreed under the condition that the first Saiyan they went after would be Coliflur. With that, an unholy alliance was formed...
But it didn’t last for long. Alvino, Shi-Nya, Stool, and Stool’s clone of Coliflur were all defeated by Kiwi, Koganut, Frihala, and Meebor. Stool was captured, the clone destroyed, and Alvino and Shi-Nya escaped to later ally themselves with the reborn Captain Ginyu. They remained with him for some time until a battle on Namek at which point they showed their true colors and deserted when the tide turned against them. Alvino and Shi-Nya are still at large, roaming the galaxy somewhere.
